Nah that was a good one. I'm just disappointed there's no rumours of us signing Pearce and Carney.
Side note, is anybody else listening to their poddie? I reckon they're still improving their flow/articulation, but it's slowly improving. Kinda curious what they think of Easts (I think Carney's a Raiders fan potentially?)

It's interesting to think back to both iterations of The Wall during Pearce's playing days and remember how hated he was by our fanbase. The funny part is that he is exactly the player this team has been crying out for in the 2020s but he got blamed for everything because he wasn't Andrew Johns and Brad Fittler rolled in to one player. My favourite criticism was "he's only getting a run because he's Wayne Pearce's son" who never had any connection to our club at all but then everyone was creaming themselves at the signing of Jackson Hastings because he is Horrie's kid whos signing almost nuked the club if it wasn't for the surprise Luke Keary signing.
Anyways Pearcey was always under appreciated and the fanbase showered it self in shit in the way they treated him from day one (so did the NSW fanbase) Pearce came in to the team at 17-18 years old when the team was absolute crap and took years to undo the mess of not being prepared for Fittler's retirement. Sam Walker is lucky to have come in to the team when he did because he would have struggled big time if he play with Braith Anasta, get coached by Chris Anderson and Freddy, play with forward slugs like O'Meley, Mason, FPN and outside backs that were slower than sloths.

He was very unlucky that QLD had so many generational players when he played for NSW. He eventually jagged a series win.
He also featured big time in NRL Days Of Our Lives with Poodlegate.
His 20 metre bullet pass left or right was second to none.
