I think our next coach should be Jason Taylor. He has already proven that he can bring the best out of these young stars we have in our squad. He has a sharp tactical eye with a great attention to detail. It doesn't seem to matter who he loses from his squad, he always fields a competitive team. He would be great working with Pearce and Maloney. Especially with their kicking game. Whoever the next coach is, he is got to learn...you dont say anything at press conferences. Smith is far too honest in this regard. Last week, after the Tigers game you get the feeling that he could of stayed there all night reminiscing about the days events. The great coaches always keep the important stuff to themselves and the players.

Stuart will never accept he failed with Finch.

I know. He sacrificed a fair few halves on the Finch altar.

Since the time of Stuart dismal the management have a lot to answer for on their poor decisions of signings coaches and players

Yeah the Stuart era was the worst era in recent memory at the Roosters. Worse than any other Roosters coach in the last 35 years. I have nothing but bad memories about 2002-06.

Nothing good happened to the club in that time. We sucked big time... Nothing worse than seeing your team defend like their lives depend on it, three GFs, a premiership, a World Club Championship, a Minor Premiership and a Club Championship...

I NEVER want to see those days revisited.... Let's sign Phil Economides as coach next year, he'd do a better job than Ricky Stuart ever did....

God some of you people are drop-kicks with years of memory obviously destroyed by too many gin and tonics in the Coogee houso unit in which you dwell.

Blow it out of your arse farknuckle.. Stuart was not responsible for most of the good in that time.. Dean Pay set up the defensive structures and Phil Gould provided a lot of the guidance to Stuart at the time and not to mention a lot of the youngsters Stuart had were given a real decent go by Graham Murray (I imagine you are too young to remember the very early 2000's. Stuart is the type of coach who can have early success but his style burnt the players out and he got rid of most of the young talent at the club. If he was such a good coach he would have a first grade gig now.. The 2 clubs rumoured to be chasing him are the Eels and Canberra.. I think that pretty much sums up how highly he is considered as a first grade coach.

yeah but on that logic, Jack Gibson rode on the coat tails of Beetson, Coote, Brass, Harris and Fairfax at Easts; and then Sterling, Kenny, Cronin and Price at Parra !

ANY NEW COACH will succeed once we have SBW on board...

I say make the next era a Taylor - SBW venture if for only one season, is all it takes to win a premiership

Remember Stuart was the coach who thought Thurston couldn't play.
