poor sandon is getting adjusted to fg thinking well it's all on me...
Imagine if he could actually kick goals.

They might have won the game!

    Why isn't Townsend kicking them?
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Agree that most thought it was going to be a tough year....nobody expected a premiership or probably even a top 8 finish...

But you would expect a team that had a so called good coach in charge would exploit the fact they were rudderless without their halves & players out of position.... yet they still got up

      FFS that's a putrid loss.

I think we certainly look like a better defensive side that we have been for a few years now. We have to give Robbo some credit for that. When you only concede one try from 40+ tackles in your red zone you have good defensive systems. Unfortunately it was two individual shockers that cost us in the second half. Crichton missed an inside shoulder which was really poor. And Dom Young is just gutless and would rather not get his body in front of someone.

Robbo is doing a good job of developing these young players into quality first graders. Steep, Foketi, Wong, Toia, Whyte all look like they will become powerful yet consistent performers both sides of the ball in my opinion. They are getting majorly let down by Townsend at the moment. It’s his job to own that tonight.

Savala isn’t the answer. I’d prefer to see Jake Elliot get a shot and just throw Sandon in the 7. Sure he’s got some negatives too but at least he has a crack. Chad just shies away. With Sandon and Elliot we might be able to score some points that get us over the line in games like tonight.

Nawaqanitawase on to right wing and let him roam a bit. And Elliot into the halves and then at least I could see that we’re actively trying to solve the clear problems rather than waiting for something to click.

He lays it out clearer than most for mine. Would you prefer he sounds like an idiot like Brad Arthur.

Have had time to clear the head on that putrid loss & I agree on some points.

Very disappointing to not go on with the job in that 2nd half.

Rodwell or Elliot might be worse than Townsend. But if this is the big rebuild year FFS give them a run...seriously how much worse could they be ???

But if they're the future why are we wasting time with Chad ?

I think Robbo has at the very least until end of next year before even worrying about being sacked, Him and Politis would've gone into this year knowing it was a rebuild year so he'll have this year to produce some good young talent and recruit for positions where we don't have anyone, if this year and next year are failures I think that's it.

As for who replaces him, no need to find a new young coach, the answer is Justin Holbrook who from memory is to credit for our new defensive skills.

                  They wouldn't of course.

People are allowed to be upset after a loss to our fiercest rival where they had 14 men and no halves, Salvo.

Yes they can be upset but why take this out on the players and coaching staff ?

Because those are the people directly responsible.

Ummm maybe they are playing & being coached & represent a team called the Sydney Roosters.

Therefore i dont know who else you can point the finger at.

Should the fans who support them & fork out their hard earned blame themselves for that rubbish?

FFS King you were once all these supporters you are criticising.

I hate to bring up old threads and some will bag me for it. Lucky ICGAFF. Run at me.

And this is a small percentage. So give it a rest ffs.

They had others playing out of position...this is a disgrace...

Then you have the constant errors & soft tries they concede most weeks.....they resemble a park footy team at times.

This is a loss that makes me sick...there's no excuse for this.

F##k Robbo off now...he offers nothing anymore.

Obviously you are a youngster as a Roosters supporter and not knowing the old days when it was 20 years between Grand finals ( 1980 and 2000) and 27 years between premierships ( 1975 and 2002).

Since 2000 - 8 Grand Finals and 4 premierships - only Penrith have won more - 5 which included 4 in a row.

You keep mentioning it but I'm not sure it's relevant, I've only supported the Roosters for the past 25 years does that mean I have to live through a 20 year grand final drought before I can be upset or considered a real fan?

The Roosters have much more resources now and a fanbase that expects to compete for trophies.

Because his time is extremely limited I think everyone knows this. No point becoming reliant on his kicking and who’s to say it’s any better - he kicked a drop out backwards tonight.

Happy to let Sandon improve his kicking by gaining the experience of in game pressure. Hes not bad - strikes them well - just isn’t stepping up with the pressure. He must be out kicking Chad at training. Chad won’t be in firsts next week. Robbo has to do something even if it’s with an eye on the future. I think he swings the axe next week on Chad for sure and probably Dom as well if Marky Mark is fit.

Glad to see Billy get through the game and perform pretty well.
