  • Collins out for 6 weeks with MCL injury

The Roosters are set to be without forward leader Lindsay Collins for six weeks after he suffered a medial ligament injury in Friday night's loss to arch-rivals the Rabbitohs.

Collins suffered the injury in the 58th minute at Accor Stadium after chasing a kick and launching himself at the ball to try and get it down for a try.

At least we get 1 bye inside that 6 week time-frame. Small mercies.

I dont think we will miss him on current form in attack. We might miss his defence

        The curse continues.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

He has been solid in D
attack average - needs to step up - good thing is he may not get selected in Origen now which on form and qld having players back I don’t think he deserved to be

however causes us more issues as we need to start Spencer again, may have 3 back rowers and no front rowers on the bench

and again highlights out retention incompetence letting (you know who) go early and having no depth in for front rowers / injury issues

Hate to see a player get injured especially a stalwart like Lindsay. From a performance perspective though I don’t think we lose anything at all. He has been bog for a while now and I’ve been far more impressed with the young middles than him. Any chance to give the likes of Steep, Foketi, Whyte and Losalu more game time and I’m happy.

Egan Butch should be back imminently aswell and he can get some minutes in the middle.

Not sure what has happened to Lindsay this year. Lost too much weight? Just not the same player of a couple of years ago, not even close.

I think Steep needs more time in reserves, his go forward just isn’t there yet.

Not so sure this one is a curse. On current form, this is somewhat of a blessing.

                      Agreed
his carries were soft , he hits the line and stops.
Needs coaching and some raw meat

I’m not concerned. If we are going to get beaten every week we may as well give the young guys a run and see who’s up for it. I don’t think he will be missed too much.

Seems odd he is still hitting hard in defence whacking blokes however seems to have lost confidence and strength running the ball into contact turning before the line

He came back well post acl but fallen off a little but recently

on form hasn’t provided any real drive for the team

Lindsay has been a passenger for some time so I don't think we'll miss him.

I wish him all the best and a speedy recovery.

I really like his defence. I think he’d be better on an edge long term than through the middle.
