We really miss Joey's x-factor, he has the ability to create something out of nothing. Unfortunately, we didn't see enough of this last season. Joey is still a better center that we have, but I wouldn't sign him to replace Teddy as he has another 3 seasons left.

In all honesty I can't see it happening, the cash set aside for him to return is going to DCE.

Just saw Robbo on the news talking to Weedler. It doesn’t sound like he’s returning to us. Robbo basically said Joey doesn’t owe the club anything and he’s not sure what his plans are so reading between the lines that pretty much rules us out I would think.

I just don’t see how Manu fits in unless on the wing post tupou retires to act as a 2nd fullback making yardage and coming off the wing

I think another club would throw $1.2m or more for him to be their fullback

I'm not sure I would welcome him back. It's a hard one!

I can't remember the last time he had a great game in our colours plus he bailed on us.

Manu is a strike centre more than a fullback imo. Explosive power athlete who's better suited to playing on an edge.

If he does come back I hope it's not on big money and compromises our superlative retention plans.

Curious to know what the fans think he's worth. I reckon around $500k a year.

I agree. His form with us was questionable. So I don’t miss him but as for Teddy he’s the best fb in the game and is constantly the best player in almost every game. He’s worth more than five Manus in my opinion.

Love Joey but we have moved on, I’m happy with our young centres they’re doing fine and will only get better.
If Robson wasn’t on his way over here I’d play him at 9 it’s long been a fantasy of this forum.

The best position for both players is fullback. While the experiment of Manu at 5/8 failed he almost always killed it at #1.

I remember at one point, Teddy even saying he would be willing to move into the centres to keep Manu at the club.
