He saw a RW&B jersey somewhere in the vicinity.

That ref was a total jerk off.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Conner best on ground. Special mentions to Billy who set up the win in the first half; Hugo what a top starting debut; Foketi looked awesome.

The ref putting the whistle away in the 2nd half really suited us...we generally win those games.

      But everyone contributed... even Dom!
      Footy is a funny game.
The Roosters showed tonight that they can go toe to toe with one of the top teams & let you see that we are a very good side minus 6 top notch that left from last year plus 2 guns that are out injured.
Why does it all come together this week but not for the last 4 weeks?
      Chad I suppose?

        • This place is a lot quieter when the Roosters win.

          • Not the first time Nat Butcher has had a great game as a prop,he seems to take on the challenge when playing there..

Please leave him there Trent,he’s found his spot!

              • Broncos press conference a complete joke, credit to Michael Maguire & Reynolds not biting on Pete Badel & Ben Dobbin's line of questioning about how hard done the Broncos supposedly were tonight.

I THINK I understand it. I saw the Broncs ahead of kickers charge down the field though, and of course, no penalties!

                  • A very good win by the boys. There was still an element of self-destruction to keep the Broncos in the game, but we were good enough to defend our errors. I called a 12 point win with Connor best on field; I reckon I wasn’t too far off.

Connor is playing his best ever footy for the club and was immense again tonight.
So pleased to see Billy showing yet again that he’s the best centre at the club; bloody awesome display. Joey who?
Teddy again top shelf and I reckon is still the best fullback in the game.
Hugo played well and has to stay in the team at least until Walker returns. He’ll only improve with more game time.
Spencer brought some real energy and agro when he came on in the first half which was exactly what we needed at the time as the Broncos were starting to get into a groove. I’m surprised he didn’t get a 2nd stint.
Butcher, Whyte, Foketi, Wong and Steep played tough and our defence looked rock solid. How does Collins make it back into the team?
Toia hits like a sledgehammer in defence with some good reads. Be great to see him get some early ball.

Angus was hot and cold and did some stupid shit; Victor looked to be a bit gun-shy.
Dom Young had the obligatory bad defensive read to concede a try, but also had a couple of good hits in there as well. Still ineffective running out of our end. Mark N offers more on the wing.

Except for his goal kicking, Sandon Smith was truly dreadful and needs to spend some time plying his trade with Chad in the lower grades. Walker was dropped after a couple of ordinary games, however his ordinary games were so much better than Sandon has been playing. Completely shithouse tonight. ZDC was better and he played zero minutes.

                    Robbo; well played coach.

                    • I didn't think sandon was anywhere near as bad as chad last week.

I've often wrapped Nat butcher, foketi looks good .

even with walker back , if hugo continues to kick like that he has to be in the team , like has too , as bellAmy once said , kick well , make your tackles I will pick you .

I agree with all of that.

Your quieter when Spencer Lenui has a good game......any praise for him tonight?

He added mongrel & spiced things up which swung things the teams way.

Hugo is the answer at 6 for this year upon Walker's return I think. Just needs to maintain his form and play like that every week.

Teddy was awesome as usual but my MOTM goes to Hugo. His long kicking game had Brisbane in all sorts unable to get out of their own half and gave us match winning field position. His kicks kept the pressure on the Broncos and tied up the game nicely for us.
