Who would have thought? A big bodied half who kicks well, defends well and plays with control.

Looked to be very level-headed and knew exactly what was required at the backend of the game. Pretty special to come into a game like that and have such an influence on the outcome. Hopefully he can continue on with it. We have been missing what he brought last night, for a long time.

A great debut at halfback and the more he plays with this team the more his combinations will grow.

Even Rob Toia got some early ball to run at his opposing centre.

If Sandon doesn't improve over the next few weeks - Hugo could be the one moving forward to partner Walker in the halves.

Stylistically both of them could be a better pairing.

Apologies for my shot elsewhere about your search fo Oz election coverage on Russian TV, I didn't know that you were actually in Russia.

How is the Motherland holding up? Are there high spirits with total victory in sight now? Total victory over the US neocons that is.

Rooster may want to cool the jets on their alleged DCE pursuit if Savala can dish performances like that up consistently

If he can carry on from last night that is exactly what I’d like to see
                When you trust your television
what you get is what you got
Cause when they own the information
they can bend it all they want

His kicking game was sensational. Just did the basics well. Did what you’d expect Chad to be able to do with all his experience. Kick to corners and have them turning around and playing on their 10m all the time.

Seems to have a lovely strike on him with a few variations in his long kicking game. Dont want to write Sandon off but from what I saw he looks like the perfect foil to Sammy. Long kicking game, nothing flashy, makes his tackles. Really impressive to go to a packed Suncorp in your first game as a starting half and out kick Reynolds and run Walsh and Cobbo ragged.

Club should be proud of their local junior and the faith they showed in him to do the job last night. Makes you wonder where we’d be if we chopped Chad earlier. He looked past it from the trials. Great insight from Cooper on Fox last night aswell. Gave big wraps to Hugo and how he applies himself at training.

Hugo did really well. Young halves will have their ups and downs so stick with him. He genuinely loves the Roosters which is a good start!

The thing that surprised me is how fast he was . The chase on Cobbo to herd him close to the corner showed it. Quicker than what Walker offers (which is my only knock on Sam).

Watching Hugo will help you in your recovery from Lachie’s departure.

Yeah you'd reckon. Hugo was petty damn solid.

How good would Hugo be feeling today.
He's a local boy & he would be out & about with plenty of people congratulating him.

as good as he was, let's just hope he backs it up , like I said if I was robbo , I'd just be kick well, tackle , and run if you think it's on .

2 bad games, and his name will be mud round these ere parts
