  • Nat Butcher

    As per the NRL matchcast:

20 runs 178m run 66 post contact metres 1 line break 2 tackle breaks 1 try 25 tackles made 0 tackles missed 49:42 minutes played.

All the talk pre-game was how we have no props, our forwards are too small, Payne Haas and Patrick Carrigan will run riot etc Nat Butcher stood up for us in a major way tonight.

As I said in the match thread whenever Terrell May puts up these numbers (in 70 minutes might I add) we hear about it for a week so time to give up some praise for a proud Rooster that does all the dirty work and never lets the team down a big effort from Nat tonight.

Well said I have always admired Nat. Great stats he really did stand up, I believe there is a Captain in there somewhere honestly never ever lets us down he’s a rooster and a club great already.

If he’s in the team we are better for it.

Big game from Nat tonight especially in the last 20 minutes.

      Possibly his best so far.

Good call mate. Never in any controversy, always plays his heart out, will play any position without any fuss always just does his job that he is asked he's a great club man.

Deserved thread, took on the best prop in the game, should keep the spot if his body can take it.

Nats best game for years & probably played better than what Collins has at club level for several seasons.

Have never understood the Butch hate.
Covers so many positions for us. Great defender. Doesn't let us down.

It's impossible for you to make a comment without bagging a player you're a dud.

Oh no a Nat Butcher praise thread so what will Easts75 say - He is the dude that bet on the Roosters to miss the 8 and come last in 2025 and leaves at half time.

Great game by Nat. Frequently under appreciated by many on here. I hope he gets a little more respect after this performance.

                        Top game.
He will always be in the top 17.

He has always been bloody good, it's just unfortunate for him that he doesn't make too many highlight reels, as the nature of his work doesn't really allow for that.

Glad to see him back and making a huge difference.

And the fact he is mature & level headed in the tough times on field is a brilliant addition for our younger blokes too.

Walsh was dogging it by the end complete pea heart performance which is something he's been doing since his Warriors days. Teddy might have a bad game here and there but he will never play less than 100% effort like Walsh tonight.
