He need to put some weight on if that is the plan.

Very hard to be effective as a pig if you're under 100kg.

Average NRL prop weight is 108-110kg
Payne Haas weighs 120kg and was a complete non event last night

      1 night doesn’t make a season
Payne haas is hands down the best prop in the comp week after night - his quite night he made 140mtr

That match was most likely Nat’s one contribution for the year
let’s see him back that up week after week

You can’t try and back an argument after 1 night

haas is up near the top of the dally m again after winning prop of the year last year while Nat hasn’t made 1 point

After seeing that display by Nat, Collins looks innefective in comparisson.

Has Collins become slower or am I imagining things?

He doesn't have to be 108kg of course, but for the sake of optimization here he is going to want to be north of 100kg. Even little Sam Moa was about 102-103.

A little, as a result of his ACL comeback. I think it's made to look worse due to the ever increasing speed of the game these days.

Collins is def slower these days and so is Radley who was once agile. Fatherhood has slowed them due to lack of sleep.

maybe, different game from 10 years ago. i'm not up on the science of ideal body weight for position based on height and body weight but he went alright last friday with what he's got.
intuitively you'd think a few extra kilos wouldn't hurt

All the talk pre-game was how we have no props, our forwards are too small, Payne Haas and Patrick Carrigan will run riot etc Nat Butcher stood up for us in a major way tonight.

As I said in the match thread whenever Terrell May puts up these numbers (in 70 minutes might I add) we hear about it for a week so time to give up some praise for a proud Rooster that does all the dirty work and never lets the team down a big effort from Nat tonight.
Oh would you look at that?
May scored another 6 points in the dally M - 6 weeks in a row been consistent
May is sitting on 18 points - 2nd in the dally m
made 190mtr in the weekend again

would be up there with our worst decisions considering we had him for $500k and lacking forward depth atm despite paying overs for Collins and Spencer

Does every thread have to turn into a May thread for you? Are you his cousin?

Who GAFF what May does. He hasn't been a Rooster for months. I bet the current crop get a better shot at a premiership in the next few years than he will.

Okay Chook we hear you and agree it’s a bad error letting him go on face value. It’s frustrating and frustrating also to be reminded of it every second post you make mate. Let it go please?

JWB was our leader against the Shoncos, played like Jared, like others have mentioned, don't get all the hate for both the Butcher brothers, looking forward to Egan coming back as well.

There is no doubt he is a good player but at the end of the day something turned the club off him.
The club didnt say to themselves this guy is good so we'll let him go,
