Credit to Madge in his presser. The media were trying to create controversy with every question,and he didn't bite. Robbo called the media out for their agenda. Media professionalism is an oxymoron. Enter Blocker Roach, The Raging Fool, Spud Carroll and many more - they are all as stupid as Thurston but have survived for years. I’m don’t disagree with your assessment of him just his longevity in the role part. To be honest maybe it’s just the fact that we hear less of them but I would take tham all over the insufferable Mick Ennis - I wish he would just shut up every now and then. All the football commentators could take a leaf out of Richie Benauds book and live by the mantra of “only speak if you can add something to the picture”

Thurston is a race card playing irrelevance, and one of the poorest and most boring commentators to ever be involved in the game. Leniu did the crime - that being he said one word in anger in the heat of battle, apologised with sincerity, offered to apologise face to face, and did his time. But none of that was good enough for this race card playing disgrace. Meanwhile the bloke he wants to defended is driving unlicensed on drugs putting young kids in hospital. Sickening.
