The only downside to this is they learn to survive and not actually improve their game
instead of playing 60 to 80 min in nsw cup to improve their game they are playing 20 min to fill in time in the nrl

I was actually annoyed but now supportive robbo game Wong and Whyte more nsw cup time over the last 2 years despite outperforming some nrl guys as they improved their game and consistently made 200mtr in nsw cup instead of playing 20 min in nrl

atm some younger guys would be in nsw cup like steep but injuries have made them retain a nrl spot

It’s a good question. Probably a bit of both if we are honest. Very hard to leave any of the more established players you mentioned out at the promotion of Whyte and Wong in previous years. However I also think that the extended game time they received in NSW Cup as a result has benefitted them as players now. Very glad it didn’t force them out the door though.

Yes this is what I bellieve
on form they were in front of sitili and Nat butch last year but were put back to nsw cup once everyone was available

look at them now in the nrl

Too lazy to do the maths but on some podcast it was the Riff need to win 10 if 17 to be a chance of making top 8.

We're in a similar spot but atm our firm is to all over the shop.

Maybe with the 2 Smithys back we up our wins.

Anything is possible, but I think we will continue to see inconsistency from week to week. That’s to be expected given the generational change in our roster and some young guys finding their feet in the top grade. Many expect Walker and Brandon Smith to save our year, however we must remember that they’re coming back from ACLs which might take until next year to get right.

I’ve no doubt we will improve as the year goes on, but I don’t think we’ll be making the 8. Next year will be a different story where we could be back entrenched in the top 4.

sitili has 5 weeks for 2 seperate charges
he has allready sat out a week this season

and Burton 1
