Fellas like seriously what a total beat up. Media has been feeding off this for 3 days and then nest week the gossip aunties on 360 will be grabbing their pearls at the horror incident after the fantastic win on Fri night.

With those words, fired at Thurston by Leniu, the Roosters villain ripped open the wounds of the Ezra Mam racism scandal and sparked a fresh firestorm at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.

The villain....thats how Spence is described. Seriously WTF did he do that makes him a villain ???? Oh shock he stood up for himself, how low.

We all know that JT was quick to slam Spence and say the suspension wasn't long enough but says shtum about the Mam breaking the law.

So in some ways this sidetracked from a courageous win. The great feel good story of Billy Smith and the young guys who stood up to the favoured and much more experienced Donkeys line up.

This Lenu story pisses me off royally because Spence was pissed about what he sees as JT being a hypocrite but I'd say to Spence just zip it cause once the media know they can get a cheap reaction from you they're all in.

If only they did their due diligence and researched his past indiscretions especially what major part he allegedly played in the Coffs Harbour scandal.....hmmm! Might bring shame to his young family.

not only because of the 2 face from JT but the double standards of Not calling out Mam and JT - Hynes Latrell and others all putting more pressure to ban Leniu for longer

to drop the Mam penalty between Xmas and new years when no one was watching and only give him one more week despite nearly killing a family?

What is lost in all this, is why did Thurston want to interview Spencer?

There were 17 players to choose from, Hugo and Billy smith would have been the obvious ones, Hugo debuting and having a great game, Billy back from long injury scoring twice, Nat butch, big game, Watson 80min effort, but he chooses a guy, he has had some history with, that played 20min and wasn’t a game changer.

I have less of a problem with the nrl, than with the actual law that gave him a piss week punishment to start with.

The coverage on Fox last night was comical as Thurston being described as an ornament of the game. Peter Badel's articles (as there have been a couple) have been very one sided and the statement released by Thurston last night was his way of jumping on the victim bandwagon.

Such an easy fix.
Get the Coffs Harbour bandit on 100% Footy and ask him his thoughts on Ezra's drug driving with no license and nearly killing a 4 year old girl who is probably still suffering injury and/or trauma and whether 9 weeks suspension was suffice. Surely he is more than just a proud indigenous man and has some form of humanity about him too.

Sunday Footy Show. They put up Thurston’s statement that he’s ready to discuss it with the Roosters in private and went on to say they won’t be discussing the matter further. So they were happy to air Thurston’s opinion on the suspension last year ad nauseam, but not interested in discussing the opposite view or the suspension of Mam.
