The game was lost in the forwards.
Riff made easy metres in the middle, usually kicking on the sixth tackle on our 30 or 40 metre line.
That made Cleary look like a genius.
The Roosters definitely need more go ahead , and are lacking a prop who plays aggressively and can makes metres up the middle.
Last week it was Spencer and Angus with the aggro , this week everyone went missing.
Compounding this is that one player who can make the yards that we so desperately need , is leaving the club - Brandon Smith.
I agree that Sutton f#clef us over , but he didn’t put the 40 points on us.

Refs had a lot to do with turning the game.We were on top of them but Sutton and co got them out of trouble when in the riffs half with penalties. The missed hip drop on Butcher,The Tedesco block..which stopped a try the bomb escorts which I think on 2 occasions they got the ball back and scored. Yes we crumbled but kind of forced on them too. Halves are mostly useless.Forwards were lame apart from White.Pricks ruined my easterLast edited by The Brain; 04-20-2025, 08:36 AM.Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

Our depth is stretched this year and we need as many on deck each week. Collins, Gussy, Billy and NButch was a bridge too far against a desperate Panthers team. Hopefully Gussy and Smith are back next week which will help. But our halves just aren't creating enough opportunities. I think Sandon has had more than enough opportunities now but it is time he goes back to NSW Cup. Surely Elliot gets a crack at 5/8 and Hugo to half. The call on Young or Marky will be interesting.

The refs have way too much influence. The game should be about two teams thrashing it out not getting piggybacks from refs and bunker. I’m not paying Kayo $40 monthly to watch such fixed trash so I cancelled and will watch games which are televised. The NRL have no integrity to allow this standard of refereeing and to ignore hip drops. What we need is a AI ref because these refs are just way too biased especially against Easts. One wonders what must Nick have done for Easts to be treated so badly by refs. This game has gone to the dogs. Poor Teddy he gets fouled and the riff maintain possession.“Soon will the present day order be rolled up, and a new one spread out in its stead”- (Baha’u’llah)

Edward Cleary sat and half tackled Teddy made no movement to get out of the road
another day that’s 10 in the bin
also Cleary ran right in front of ball and Marky N same as sandon did - Samson gets penalised and Cleary nothing
as a fan hard to watch when it’s a lottery with the refs

how was this not picked up from bunker?
Again just another poor decision that went against us
Radley would've been sent to the bin for 10.

Went to the game last night - don't get to many these days.
It was boring. Roosters no creativity. Poor reads - and ball dropping. Same old.
What's that 120 points conceded on our ' flashy ' home ground this year. A horrific stat.
We need another front rower to help our Whyte. He really stands out. He is real good.
I won't bag Robinson, but gee he has lost the ability to get his players to be mentally tough and resilient for the entire 80.
General admission - $55: WTF ??!!

Its not like he's in charge or anything like that.....Same old same old last few years with the experienced 6 who left & co to this current group.which is a convenient excuse to dish up more of the same.
There's no real consistency...just go through the motions & celebrate a win every 3-4 games.
I guess the players, fans, & ball boys should cop the criticism instead.....but anywayyyyyyyyyy...

1. Panthers
2. Storm
3. Roosters
Want better results from Trent?
Then make/buy him better players to coach, and lobby for a fairer draw, and better refereeing.
Given what passes for refereeing of our games today, the only way we're ever going to win games is to compile a team of big, muscular, tough players who can bash, smash and trash opposition teams (legally of course).
Giants who can run hard at the line thru/over the opposition out wide. A la Latrell 2018/2019.
