2 years ago Adam Gee was the best ref in the game, he would let game's flow yet somehow the NRL kept picking Heckle and Jeckle for the big games.

Now Gee interprets the game like them and the game is the poorer for it.

60 matches would have to be a good sample. an extra penalty against us every second game is significant. if you were running some sort of quality control you'd investigate. the fact that he has given souths an incredible extra penalty every game he's reffed them is also significant

The performance from Sutton last night was diabolical and bordering on incompetent. That, and the complete bias that he shows , makes you wonder what is going on in the NRL.
If the NRL was serious, surely they would review the refs performances. If they did , then Sutton would be demoted to the bottom of the refs roster, maybe demoted so he wouldn’t ref an NRL game ever again.
Same thing would apply to Klein, who is completely incompetent.
Then again, nothing is likely to happen , and both of these drongos are likely to remain as the top tier referees.
Maybe that’s the NRL plan - make sure , with the refs help, that the Panfers , Souffs and the Bulldogs stay at the top of the table, and satiate their fans.
