  • Never seen cheating like that from a referee

No words. In the first half it was either penalty try to make it 12-0, or sin bin.

Instead, he let them keep the ball on the play. Not even a penalty

    I'm done.

Does anyone know who was in the bunker. Seems to be a PVL rule not to make it public anymore. I wonder why.

Montaya SIN BINNED for a slap in dogs v rabbits game and we can't even get a penalty for a crusher on marky, a block on Teddy, a penalty against us for not Square at marker., followed by a 6 again on 5th tackle 1 metre out..too many one sided decisions which leaves us gassed and prone to making tired defensive errors.....the whole flow of the game is changed by these decisions....

Funny how the bunker said Edwards was incidental contact on Teddy and so no penalty try, no sin bin, not even a penalty. Yet last year, same game, same player, even same end of the ground. JWH runs through the Riff line and is deliberately run into by Edwards near the goal posts, and a try 30mtrs away, way over in the corner is disallowed for contact. Funny how the rub of the green works out !

I keep saying it while there is betting in the game..this is how it will be in the bunker..They control the end result.

The head on view of Edwards taking out tedesco was not revealed by the bunker or TV coverage - why is that do you think? I suspect it would have looked even worse than the one view we all saw - but if not, why not show it in the interests of transparency to help explain why the bunker were the only ones watching it who thought it was legal. BTW, there was nobody within cooee of Teddy and he most definitely would have scored, and Edwards knew that when he took him out - I’ll bet he himself couldn’t believe he stayed on the field.

The incident is also completely omitted from the NRL site highlights of the game. Once again, why is that do you think?

Kenny just got a Grade 2 dangerous contact charge for the tackle on Nat. Will miss 2 weeks with the early plea yet we didn’t even get a penalty! This happened in the 4th minute of the game!

Game management at it's best by Sutton.

It only takes 1 or 2 incorrect calls by the officials to change the course of the game and the end result.

The NRL don’t view Rugby League as a sport but as entertainment. With the technology available there is no way they can make these blatantly wrong calls. Rugby League has become the same as the wrestling.

It happens regularly to the one team; it isn't quite as bad as the Dylan Brown level of incompetency. But how doesn't someone in the bunker look at a tackle that has a player limping from the field in the 4th minute get reviewed by one of the propeller heads in the next minute when it is clear that Nat was hobbling.

Suggestions that the decisions have anything to do with betting are insane.

                            I think there are 2 things at play;

                            1) An inherent almost subconscious bias against us, as has been the case at least back to 2000. We never win penalty counts. The penalties we give away, they just don't get given to us when the same thing occurs. Like the escort penalty last night with Radley (from memory it was him) which was a ridiculous call, then Cleary gets away with a worse one in the very next set. I think in part it's down to the same reason fans of other clubs hate us - we're seen as flashy, glamorous, buying players from other clubs, white collar, rich, etc etc. So many parallels to society in this country in general nowadays, where things like success and wealth are deemed by the socialist haters as unfair and to be derided and if possible torn down. Same irrational bias.

                            2) The champion team Penrith's slow start to the season and everyone wondering are they finished, and the subsequent romance as they mount their comeback.

And as Player 1 said, why was there no showing of the head on footage in the Edwards incident? Did they not have any? Fox don't even send commentators interstate or to NZ nowadays, they call it off the TV here. Maybe Fox is saving money on camera angles too. Maybe not.

I’m sorry fellas but I just can’t see it. I thought the referring last night was OK aside from the Kenny incident. I think Teddy went down a little soft there with Edwards I mean if you’re watching Dylan he never changes his line ? He just braces for impact so where would you want him to go?

Also thought the high tackle from Whyte early in the second half could’ve gotten looked at.

We were well beaten in the forwards and when we had good ball we didn’t do much with it. Thought our kicking game was poor last night too.

Mark is not a centre too… he plants his feet too much when trying to read set plays which then enables the sweeper to get on his our side far too easily…
