Very true. Anyone wanting to get rid of him is beyond clueless.

We need to be a little more realistic.
Played 30mins in Round 1 before getting knocked out.

Came back Round 3 and was one of our best running for 150m+ at lock forward.

Round 4 against the Titans again was one of our best before getting knocked out in 2nd half.

Round 6 came back off the bench after back to back concussions.

Round 7 had to play left edge for the first time in his career. Sounds very simple but when the defensive pressure on an out line hitups is coming in at your ball carrying arm it's a different feeling and you could see in his first error he didn't turn his hips enough and got his grip wrong. Outside of that he he more than held his own and I thought grew into the game. Lots of tackles, took plenty of tough carries but was never going to be as effective on the left edge as he is in the middle.

They're the games I've been watching. Being realistic is not writing off a player after 3 full games footy this year. I assume you're taking the piss telling people to be realistic?

We are a better team with Vic in it. Always. He is trying to be more of a leader out there for the young bucks and is playing a straight hand.

We won’t see the Rads of old unless he has a very long spell

I wouldn’t be disappointed if he retired. Like Cordner, his post career takes precedent

Everyone loves Rads as a rooster
everyone also knows since his acl when he was just about the best forward in the game he has struggled with injuries and suspensions

he has built up his frame but has slowed off abit

I was concerned this week he looked gassed after around 20 min mark

compared to a Yeo or Murray he is not there, does have the off game - day where he reminds what he can do! Although I think him going less crazy in games will help his chance playing longer as you could easily see an early retirement coming his way

If a few of the members of this site were in charge of the Roosters, they'd want to sack half the team after each loss
...& try and buy 7 replacement players before the following week.

There is always an element of instant gratification among some folks here.

Some of it is truly ridiculous though.

Steep has gone from 'the next Boyd Cordner' to 'will never be 1st grade standard' within a fortnight it seems..

It has been worse though. After the '18 and '19 premierships I remember a couple of ChookPen characters who clearly had an entitlement complex regarding our on-field prospects. Fairly sure one of them wanted to 'put a broom through the team', 'sack Robbo', 'sack the ball boys', 'Teddy is finished' by the end of season 2020.

Love Vic and feel somewhat sorry for him. He is no longer the player he was. He has become a battering ram and a slow one at that. Ive witnessed his lack of mobility as well and playing at a heavier weight doesn’t suit him nor the role mapped out by Robbo. I think he is better off the bench and to play hooker when Watson has a spell, if lighter and worked on his speed. Collins is the same has no speed whatsoever these days unlike the past.

The head knocks have really blunted him. Personally I think he is best off giving the game away. He looks punch drunk out on the field.

Whilst I agree Radley has been off the pace, I believe he along with the rest of the pack are being hindered by average service from a stand-in dummy half. For all of Connor’s attributes he isn’t a week to week starting 9.

To be fair it's difficult for most players to find form with the way we're travelling.

I think Rads was really quite strong last year, but he has been hot and cold (or perhaps hot and mild) since his ACL.
He doesn't look damaging with the ball in hand to me, and his playmaking has basically gone. I was actually in favour of that years ago, as I felt he relied to much on it and overcomplicated things. Now that his running game has taken a dip though, we're probably missing it.

I wouldn't mind seeing him get a little bit lighter and work back in some of the agility he used to have.

He's a long way from a bad player, but I do wonder if, long term, he provides that much value to our team. Robson will take the hooking role next year. Watson will probably be playing lock, and we have a plethora of other high-quality back-rowers and locks either available or coming through.
