That will make our charge later in the season into the top 4 all the more sweeter.

Once Sammy & Cheese are back there's no stopping the Rooster train...Hehehehe

TBH we certainly are not a last placed team & it will be a very poor indictment if we finish last at seasons end.

High completion rate, no dumb mistakes, no high tackles, wingers to stay on their wings in defence and not allow tries to be scored outside them.
Dragons obviously believe "big is better" and "muscular and fast are essential".

Makatoa must start at prop with Whyte.

Jason Ryles believes in "too big, too strong, too fast"...obviously.

I nearly choked with excitement on my ice cream and coca cola today when I saw Eels no 11...Kelma Tuilagi run over Tigers defenders out wide to score.

      ...
Gotta admit...all your big talk is becoming very hypnotic.

      I'm starting to believe it.

There should be a "big" search far & wide at seasons end..

.where do these "bigs" hang out?

Is the Eels number 11 David Solomana reincarnated ??

Yep injuries do hurt a team for sure.

Continual floggings, ball dropping, missed tackles, side ways running, crap discipline, taking our lessons, rooster way, going after the game etc seems to hurt a team more.

Come on Robbo and Chooks - get it together.

          Not sure.
Shouldn't be too hard to find though.
At season's end, if we're near the bottom of the ladder, we might have trouble attracting any new players.

By then Trent and co should've sorted out which players will be our top 17 for 2026 and if we need to buy anyone.

If coach Robbo picks D Young today for Friday with Billy S ready to come back in - we know he has finally lost his marbles.

              Dom played better than Marky.
What's with Marky's releasing the ball when he gets tackled, rolling it backwards?

Marky and Toops let in 2 tries.
Dom must stay in the team.

Keary used to make line breaks.
Time Sandon and Hugo did the same.

Both are dangerous attacking weapons , Sloan has incredible speed.
Sloan tends to trouble us from memory. On form we are the underdogs. We are very patchy at best but our best form this year wins this game. Hopefully we bring our best form and best available 17. Dom Young needs an extended spell to work out his defensive issues in NSW cup rather than at the expense of the first grade side. Hopefully he can learn how to cart it up as well with some intent other than the intent of trying not to get hit hard. Our hands continually let us down and it’s not always the same offenders. I can’t blame Robbo for this - unless he was coaching them u7s - u 10s.

Maybe if the refs/bunker actually did something about opposition players attacking the heads of our players in tackles including on the ground, Dom might be more fearless running the ball back.

The left centre spot belongs to Billy! He is the best centre in our squad and will eventually become the best in the NRL.

Marky Mark is an incredible athlete however he has long way to go in understanding the intricacies of playing in the centres.

Toia has what it takes to be a great centre. He just needs time. Toops has the left wing locked down and rightly so!

That leaves the right wing. Robbo should give Marky a run on the right wing as this is our weakest link imo. We won't know unless he's given a shot. There's no better time than this season as where rebuilding and experimenting with different combinations.

Imo Young has improved his ball running the last 2 weeks & has made good yardage...you can tell Robbo has directed him to straighten it up.

                        His defence...well you know...hit & miss. Hehe

Our hands? Well its been awful for quite a while now for whatever reason & i get happly suprised when we complete at 75% these games.

                        Teams defence...below average.

This years team needs every stat to go there way to win games as in the Panthers/Broncos wins...they aren't the resilient Roosters of old who can overcome these things not going there way.

Imo i dont see us winning anymore than 7 or 8 games this year.

Easts might score the first try. And then it will be 65 minutes of torture.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Good post Egg. Agree re the Dominator, he's definitely improved the last couple of outings. If you picked on last weeks form it would be Billy in for Mark. But on previous form Dom gets kicked downstairs. Interesting TLT later. Mark wasn't himself last start, he may have been wounded.

And if the abysmal performances continue ,I won't renew my membership - as well as plenty of others.

That would f*ck the club financially.

Thats one good reason to acknowledge the fans.
Whilst I acknowledge everyone's right to do as they please, that is the very definition of a fair weather or bandwagon supporter.

Do I like seeing the team do so poorly? Absolutely not.

Do I think Robbo/The Club get it wrong sometimes? Absolutely!! (The Prosecution's Exhibit CT7 - Chad Townsend).

But I have been a Roosters fan/member all of my life and will continue to do so till the full-time whistle sounds for me.

If we all didn't renew our memberships because of bad times, it would screw the club financially and the NRL would take great delight in kicking us out of the comp.

So, stay staunch and just remember it's always darkest before the dawn.
