Methinks that to win today we'll have to bash, smash and trash 'em, legally of course.
      For 80 minutes.

Anzac Day has always been special in my family. My grandfather fought in France during WW1, and was gassed on the front line by the Germans. He survived, but was never a well man afterwards, and died relatively young as a result. I’m sure there are many people who have similar stories in their family.

I also work with many ex-military servicemen, and you can’t help but absorb some of the sense of occasion that they feel today. It means a lot to all of them.

By far the most emotive and sacrosanct day on the Rugby League calendar. For the Roosters, this was Jared’s day for a long time. He loved representing his own father who served in the NZ military. I’m keen to see who’s going to stand up and lead us today.

Well said and we need to be so proud of men like your grandfather. That may have been the famous battle at Poziere in 1916 that you referred to. Matty Johns talks about it and how revered Australians are in that area to this day. Some friends of his were at a restaurant there a few years back, and when the waiter realised they were Australian, he stood in the middle of the restaurant, said something in French to the entire room that there were Australians present. The whole restaurant stood up and cheered them.

Or the 2 young Aussie backpackers travelling through France in their fried out Kombi, and they stopped at a servo to fill up. The man behind the counter wouldn't take their credit card and was shaking his head. They started hunting for any cash they had, until the customer in the line behind them said "He won't take your money, Australians don't pay here."

Big occasion, made for older experienced heads.

Unfortunately that's why i see the saints winning this...not sure our inexperienced players can fully cope.

That and our bench is crap.

Great form so far. I worry whenever we score first because often we end up losing. Hope our great form continues. Not to be we still making stupid mistakes.

I hate that rule about the ball coming off the head. Lucky try for the drongos. Killed all our momentum.
