His hitups have never been a problem. Its always a strong hard carry. Its just the frequency. NRL online stats show only 5 hitups. The lowest of all the starting forwards. Also ten tackles. Again the lowest of all our forwards.

For the highest paid forward or there abouts, he needs to lift his work rate .

I thought Steep had his best game to date. Highly involved throughout the game.

NRL stats shows 9 runs for 107m in 34 min. That’s 1 more run than both Wong and Radley, who both played roughly double the minutes. It’s also 25+ metres more than both. Considering he’s playing busted and getting needled to play I’d say that’s a fair contribution.

It was mentioned by one of the commentators when he came off after his first stint. They said he was managing an AC injury and had been getting needed to play. As he headed up the tunnel they speculated that he would be getting another needle at half time.
