It’s our 5th home game out of 6. We played Cronulla away last year. That said, we’ve only lost one of those “home” games.

It should be home games for all the QLD teams, especially if they are playing non QLD teams.... but of course common sense is uncommon at NRL HQ.

        It surely is.
        Magic round is a joke.
        The draw is a joke.
Nothing fair about any of that.
Some people, seeing this, could believe the NRL is a joke.

To quote the Great Uncle Nick. "It's not a draw, it's a TV schedule."

Just did the ladder predictor, if we beat the Dolphins I have us going into Round 11 at 9th which is pretty incredible given that we're millions under the cap, playing with the worst halves combo in the comp, are riddled with injuries and playing with young players in a "rebuild year"

Anybody else hear Fox's weird@rse attacks on Albo during the Souffs game? They kept saying he was too d*mb to know about magic round.

I was thinking... weird farking flex!!! Particularly in a world where the opposition leader's a clumsy AFL 'fan' (doesn't watch league) who can't hit the side of a barn with a Sherrin.

Right so Albo doesn't give a fark about magic round and didn't talk it up when asked about his footy team (of which he's a massive fan, whether people like 'em or not.... he's a massive league fan). Who cares? Fox were really scraping the barrel there IMO.

Wish Fox could just call the footy without some shytehouse political messaging going on.

Yep and we get to play another local team in the Dolphins as our home game. Don’t tell me this draw isn’t manicured by the NRL. What a joke. Why don’t they just give the broncos the premiership?

A bit of hyperbole there. He nailed his kick and if the kid in front was only marginally coordinated, and if the camera man was paying attention, there wouldn't have been the great gnashing of teeth that the entire media and you pounced on. Or do you think that people stand still to field kicks in the AFL?
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

It sounds ridiculous but I think the home team gets the gate takings or the lions share anyway so I suppose it’s giving a bit of monetary reward at least to the other teams. But yeah the home ground advantage is ridiculous that they get an extra game at their home crowd every fkn year.

We have had a pretty good draw ourselves I think, played every Friday bar one, so 7 day turnarounds for every game, and only had to leave Sydney twice. If we had a fully fit team, with that draw, we should be on 6 wins, and after magic round, we don’t leave Sydney til round 23.

overall, in the whole 27 rounds, we only leave Sydney 5 times.

Yes that’s true, but we also had to play the Broncos and Panthers twice in the first 8 rounds. Plus traditional rivals Souffs and the Merge on Anzac Day. No one expected the Riff to be as bad as they have been either.

All I know is that we are in for a very tough game.
I would love to see the Chooks win 2 games in a row but Im not confident we can beat the Dolphins.
