you know what the funny thing is.....

Like mini, Sam was eligible for long service salary cap discounts next year, so the money we paid sam would not have eaten into the cap.

There is something else to this, why whould the club let go of such a great ambassador or clubman when he still brought value to the team when most of his salary would not count to the cap anyway !

Muzz I think you will find that the Long Serving Player Allowance is limited to $200K give or take (may increase next year) per club not per player.
So the decision was made to use that against Mini's salary.

Anyway I still think he will be back to Rugby for the World Cup.
His current contract expires at the end of the super 15 season. He has already advised NZ Rugby he has signed on with Panasonic following that.
As to NZ Rugby in 2015 will be his choice between his enjoyment with our level of success compared to possibly earning another All Black gig.
He is obviously missing playing league and our upcoming success should sway him to stay in league...

I'm not sure how long you have to be with the club to qualify for that but surely Pearce will after Mini retires??

If so perhaps the only positive from the so called 'youth policy'. A young halfback with rep experience not costing the club an arm and leg.

As for Pez, it was best for player and club on this occasion. Both need to part to go forward. It's gana hurt seein him wear another jersey but mainly because it was a mid season transfer. Wtf!!

I think if the roosters don't get at least one decent player by the 30th then this club is beyond a joke.
              Is that the full story,
              or is your news limited?

With some decent coaching SKD, Moga, Leilua and RTS have the potential to make Perrett a distant memory.

These tweets by junior Perrett has really ticked me off but it doesn''t suprise me our high performance training regime probably isn''t up to standard. Another reason for us to change coach and change our preparations to games. The club is behind the eight ball, its disgusting.

He is not worth the reported $300K he was after and if it wasn't for Lloyd, he wouldn't have even crossed Hasler's mind.

Good luck Sammy but there are better options coming through.

and with decent coaching Perrett would have been exactly the same and not going anywhere.

Surely you can see that Perrett is limited.

No you can't. No one in any club rates Anasta at all. A couple of media commentators obviously still give him a rap every now and then but that's it..
