If the Pearce thing is true he wouldnt leave one basket case for another unless there was a pot of gold .
besides I said weeks ago the rumour was strong
lets see how Zorba the greek plays this outTwo things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

My source told me 2 years, but I can live with 3, and I say let him go next year, I'll swap Saints for Hornby over Pearce, any day of the week, he is a whole hearted player, who comes off after giving 100% every game.
Players with a year to run on their comtract before they are moving on, is a situation that almost always ends in tears. If we are indeed stuck with Brian Smith next season, it will mean the new coach in 2014, will have a good clean slate to buy the players we need, and Hornby has another season in him, or else we run with Mortimer / Maloney in the halves, it looks like its going to be cock up season anyway, with new coach and a swag of new players pending.
I dont know if you ever watch Hornby closely during a game, he's always the player that makes that last desperate tackle to save a try,. or dive on that dangerous bouncing ball near his tryline, to stop the opposition getting possession, and he never stops during a game.
Going to be a bumpy 18 months or so for the club, if we can survive it, is another matter entirely.
Cheers.......Burnt Rooster.

I don't believe this rumor is true, but if it is I am not too worried. Plenty of better halfbacks around. For mine, Pearce is a $300,000.00 player at best, but I am sure he will be looking for a whole lot more. If he has signed, let him go there next year. Maloney at half and SBW to 5/8.
