I agree...whilst many take the easy option of blaming Freddy for everything this year...they will quickly learn it was the cattle out there on the paddock that was the reason for the result this year...and management for some of the long term contracts they signed the previous year which gave some players the security they wanted and won't perform again till another contract is up for renewal...

Absolutely right, but he can get average players to lift. It's been clear for some time now that this bunch has got the wrong attitude. When they actually try on the odd occasion, they can show glimpses of football to justify their first grade status. Unfortunately, that's for about 5 minutes per game.

Attitude reflects leadership, leadership is the coach, if the attitude is wrong the coach is wrong = Roosters 2009.

                Chook.

Yep, I think there's more to it than Freddy being a rookie. Some of these players are just plain hopeless, others don't give a sh!t or are going through the motions and so few actually exert themselves for any length of time during a game. All of the above equals wooden spoon.

Welcome Mr Smith, good luck with this team and good luck with maintaining the power and authority as head coach that Freddy claims he never had.

Smith comes into the joint with nothing to lose and everything to gain.

                      He doesnt need luck.

Did he ever demand it, or did he just go with the flow....???

Smith will come in and rock the boat don't worry about that. He isn't the type to take orders from above. As far as the players go he will draw the line in the sand. The blokes who aren't prepared to follow instructions and fall into line will be pissed off. He wont cop the rubbish we have had to sit through this season.

Excellent question PtB and one about which I have no idea.

Did you see the after match press conference? Fittler didn't want to be there and spoke as little as possible which makes me think he might as well go now as his presence and apparent attitude can't be good for those useless players.
