I think if Mitch gets a decent 5/8 and FB and forwards that win the ruck I am sure he will be more then adequate. There is no better aqlternative!!!!!!!!!!! so what is the use of rubbishing one of our own?

Considering our big boys at easts cant close a game and we have no 5/8 and poor coaching, I think he has been OK
    Thats funny.

Because a team wins the game! not a halfback

Pearce has had to play his entire career bar about half a season with Anasta at 5/8. No surprise that the Roosters best form coincided with the time Pearce and Carney were together in 2010. Unfortunately what happened to Carney and the Roosters last year was well documented. I think it would be fair to review Pearce this time next year once Maloney has had a chance to settle in and form some combinations with his new team mates. Fingers crossed we'll be cheering a NSW series victory and a Roosters side well inside the top 8.

I reckon he kicks pretty well for us most of the time and can only get better.
I think it's almost impossible for any kick down field not be caught on the full by either the FB or 1 of the wingers. Most defences drop there wingers back on the 4th & 5th so it like there is 3 FB, so I dont have an issue with Pearce's down town kick.

The rest of Mitchells kicking game is not up to NRL standard. He has no individual kick over the top & regather kick, he has no grubber along the ground awkward to pick up kick, he has no running at the line drop on the toe 2 metres out of the opposition line kick, he has no banana kick, he has no dribble in the opposition ingoal & get repeat sets kick. His cross field kicks have a very low percentage of scoring a try.

His passing & defence is sound but all other parts of his game are overrated. Hopefully by the time he reaches 27 & on he will be a very good player.

He will never be a great player.
