  • Todd Carney - where was he tonight?

Given what a dreadful mishandling of the VB drinker a large contingent of roosters fans consider was committed by our club management......where was his genius, game breaking ability tonight? I thought , in spite of some very poor handling by our players, and a lack of composure or brains by Pearce, the most outstanding aspect of an ordinary game, between 2 very ordinary teams, was the toughness displayed by the roosters to stay in the contest and snag 1 competition point against a 9-2 penalty count and many, many spectacularly biased and downright ridiculous bad refereeing calls. We have copped it up the rear for 5 years plus now, but those boys in pink really put on a reaming for us tonight.

Carney was shit. As he was in SOO. Oh how the grass is greener for many roosters fans, fawning over this bogan whom our management had the temerity to fire.

Tonight he had the chance to show his supposedly world class over a bunch of mediocre rabble. His achievement? He fit right in with them. A nuffie. Seems like 2010 for us was his peak.

I was shown that he was a myth that we told ourselves to get over Fittler.

Set up both their tries, kicked a 40-20 that changed the game and slotted all their goals.

He was better than any of our blokes, and you know it!

Ralphy, we'll all be getting ****ed when he's steering his team into the finals in a Cronulla jersey.

How? Wade Graham put the centre through a hole for the first try....unless you are counting the 40/20 as a try assist.

              Yes, you're right.....My mistake.

The point still stands that he was better than any of our blokes.

Carney got to throw a lot of punches because of our errors and hometown refereeing and didn't come up with much. His 40 20 was brilliant....but that was it. All I could see was a lot of 2011 sideways crabbing that the roosters easily contained.

I thought Aiden Guerra was the best player on the park by a country mile.

Thought he was steady, with the stand out being the 40/20, can't remember too many pieces of brilliance from him. Thought Guerra was easily our best and Wade Graham easily their best.
