Adam Reynolds isn't in Pearce's class, certainly not yet anyway. It's just another case of the grass is always greener on the other side, just like the fans who suggested we should pay the 500-600k Sandow was asking for last year and get rid of Pearce.
He's a good general play kicker but that's it, his running game is average and his ball playing is non-existent.
Good luck to the kid, I don't think the Rabbitohs have been as dominant as everyone likes to make out so he's done well to find his feet so quickly but an interesting fact; he doesn't have one line break assist to his name (a clear indicator that he lacks vision and ability as a ball player). In fact this is woeful for a halfback, people want to address our lack of creativity by replacing Pearce (ranked 4th for linebreak assists) with a bloke who hasn't even made one is an illogical argument.
Pearce plays behind the worst go forward in the comp, he doesn't play with any creative ball players (e.g Inglis & Luke), releasing him is not the answer in fact it's a massive step backwards.
I hope Pearce and the club come out and deny this quickly.
