Because all his family is down there....the beach isn't the be all and end all despite what some people think.

Whilst I think smith needs to go, and now, if we hired Stuart again, this club is a bigger joke than I thought.

I hope you guys in this thread who are saying that Ricky would be a short term fix and not what we need in the long run hold the same attitude towards the overpriced short term fix that is SBWalkout. It is the exact same thing.

The only reason we had success under Stuart was because of a player called Fittler.

Doubt Ricky will go to Canberra. IMO Canberra will make the finals and the Warriors/Tigers won't. Its also hard for Furner to get sacked when his dad is CEO(Don Furner). But all that said Smith must go. He hasn't lost the support of all the players completely but the ones that matter e.g. No doubt Braith will support him as he gets his beloved no.6 spot every week, Arona and FPN will like him too. The ones that matter e.g. Taka despite good performance pushed to Newtown, Bosden must be regretting coming here he would've got better chances at the Dragons, Tupou hasn't got his chance yet and poor Seluini will be wondering what he did wrong last week to be dropped(not knowing Braith is a protected species)

Anyone but Smith I like the idea of Stuart but with a young squad I prefer a Bellamy type coach who can develop them. But Bellamy coming to Roosters is a pipe dreem. He luvs the Storm and they love him back. Stuart is good around an experienced back e.g. Ricko, Freddie,

It'd be like the people electing John Howard again...

He had a semi-decent run but people got jack of him, he made LOTS of enemies and he was emphatically punted for a good reason...

Let's just not go back there. Good Origin coach + 2002 was AWESOME but but but...

Word. Any coach would look like Jack Gibson with him in the team.

Same goes for JT and Benji.

                    Quick question.

Supposing SBW joins us in 2013, and nothing else changes (eg coach or whatever), do you really think we then become a top 8 outfit ?

Its his brother that's CEO not his father.

I think if you look at the number of games we lost by a little and then consider what percentage of those we would have won with a top class player in the side, then add a couple of wins from the confidence of being higher up the ladder then I reckon the answer is yes.

It doesn't take much to go from 12 to 5 or 6, mostly just belief and confidence.

                          James Maloney+Michael Olfield.
                          Hopefully refereeing changes too.

He can attract players. I like it!
                              Better than the current rubbish.
