I stopped investing emotion into the Roosters a couple of years ago, like I've stated before, and that loss affected me no more than watching Penrith getting beat.

I haven't paid to see the Roosters play since Banasta came here.

I will, however, pay full boat to see James Maloney's first home game. Unless it's the dogshit.

Oh c'mon John - the fact that your a gold member on here would suggest your still investing some emotion in the roosters. You can't tell me that you didn't have at least one fibre of 'hurt' at the loss on monday night.

I was devo on Monday like I was devo on 26/4

but I was mainly devo because we have brought this on ourselves by having a madman in 6 who has passion but can't control the tempo of a match which is about the sole reason he is out there

I was watching it with a Souths fan, so there was a little. But not like the rage I used to have.

Have to admit I am much the same now.
Years ago I would be filthy (not Ralph) for days.
Now I let it go in a matter of minutes because I realise there are more important things in life.
Just a waste of energy dwelling for too long on something you have no control over.

I come on here and read about Stump's situation. That clarifies things nicely.

The funny thing is, south's are celebrating like they've won the grand final. We're 3rd last for god's sake. They should have beaten us soundly. When we were a top 4 team, south's barely ever came anywhere near us. They've got a long way to go....
For Souffs it was their Grand Final. Besides their March GF against Saints, thats as close as theyll get.

                      That fact keeps me relaxed.

I know where your coming from John & Chook 56... in fact I said to my daughter & wife that at the scrum with 2 minutes to go the match was far from over. So I was already in the mode of preparing myself for the loss...too many let downs over the past 40 years. Oh well, you have to take the good with the bad, unfortunately it seems to be more of the bad lately.

Yeah 2000, 03 and 04 did that for me. I had blind passion but realised that it all amounted to little or nothing so I stopped going to the footy for a few years. 2010 I kept it all in perspective better and 11 I just shrugged my shoulders.

                              It's a lot more relaxing
