    We get it!

    FFS
I dont think some get it because the same people keep saying the same rubbish that the coach is not responsible for anything, he's just the coach, he just turns up to press conferences and appears in pictures, he doesnt drop the balls or give away penalties etc etc.

We are 3rd last in smith's 3rd year in charge. That is Pathetic by anyone's standards.

I hope he does but I honestly believe it will be other factors that will have us on the improve next season. Not him. The risk of his addition turning sour in so many ways is not the direction we need to be going. We need stability and not one year wonders who cant give a rats about anything other than themselves. You wanna box, fark off and be a boxer... you wanna play yawnion... i wish you all the best but if you want to be a jack of all trades, you will be a specialist in NONE. I welcome his abilities (that are still yet to be proven in a much MUCH faster game than yawnion and what he was used to in the past) but not his circus.

There is something in the whole setup that is just not right, there needs to be a clean out, new culture, new mission statement. because if there is not, even the oldest fans will no longer go to the games, turn on the foxtel, pay our membership fees.
P.S JWH penalty count this year? it would lead the comp wouldnt it?
nikolas - i too have supported them for 40 something years.my dad played in same period as yours.graded by easts league but got talked back by his surf club mates to play at easts rugby 1sts.you are dead right about the set up.management have a lot to answer for.the worrying concern for the club is the continual interference by the chairman which is damaging it currently and will do so into the future. beyond the chairman passing away it is a scary thought what will become of the club.

players are supposed to be in "AWE" of the coach (if thats the right word /spelling )willing to run into brick walls if told to,listen to and respect the coachs words and decisions , as soon as this starts to break down a team turns to SHIT ......smith has had his day ,he must be replaced before next year starts

i think sbw will make a massive difference for a little while till opposition coaches learn again how to nullify him, but by doing so it will open up holes for the mogas etc in our team, maybe even skid? it depends whose coaching us though as sbw skill set includes a great offload, might be great for guerra he thrives on those balls?

I think ever since coming to Easts he has been coached away from the offload and more a to a 'battering ram' roll. In defence though can't seem to wrap the ball up because is focused on wrestling not on the football.

On topic, I think it went wrong when anasta came here, yeah he was ok in his first few but should of been sent packing a long time ago we are now paying for it.big time. And then later appointing Fittler as coach when he wasn't ready.

Maloney will make a difference next year.
                                Is that the full story,
                                or is your news limited?
