True....all the bad coaches were a result of one very bad and naive decision. To bank on a handshake deal with Bennett. We knew then that was going to put us back a decade. We still have 2-3 years of pain to go....regardless of who coaches.

That rubbish, clueless deal, that has created this entire coaching mess.

You need to start blaming the right man for the damage. Smith is collateral damage. The root cause of the cancer is in the boardroom. If Nick insisted on a handshake deal, then Nick is the man to blame. If it was the CEO, then the CEO can wear the blame of our current position.

Who in their right minds does a business deal with a handshake these days.

The core problem is our roster - we have plenty of promising kids but only a couple of players with much over 100 games. Look at this season - a few times we got pumped but mostly we were in games up to our neck and couldn't close them out - example Taka coming out of the line to create the gap for Souths 2nd last try, just straight inexperience.

The Broncos aren't good because of Griffin, they are good because they have a great group of kids (like us) and half a dozen 200+ game rep players to provide experience (unlike us).

We have got the balance wrong between youth and experience and that's why we sit where we sit on the ladder.

Bronco team beat us this year on our home ground without any of their experienced players in it.
