That rubbish, clueless deal, that has created this entire coaching mess.

You need to start blaming the right man for the damage. Smith is collateral damage. The root cause of the cancer is in the boardroom. If Nick insisted on a handshake deal, then Nick is the man to blame. If it was the CEO, then the CEO can wear the blame of our current position.

Who in their right minds does a business deal with a handshake these days.

Thats just bad bad bad business. And we are suffering for it.
you are on the money everything does go back to bennett shafting us.

Exactly - and that's because Politis never learns from his past mistakes and keeps making the same ones over again and again.

And the club is the one who suffers for it - not him personally. He sits in his ivory tower and no one and nothing can touch him.

His lack of good judgement in so many decisions he's made since Bernie Gurr left is staggering. But some people continue to worship the bloke like he's some sort of demi God to the Roosters, when in fact he's far from it.

Nothing would make me happier than news of a Gurr comeback.

Thankfully they are a species close to extinction, even on here

We shafted ourselves....the inner sanctum couldnt keep their mouths shut so Bennett got spooked and pulled out.

Ill share my tissues and bourbon with you Pipe. Because even if it would be nice watching Sonny destroying opposition backlines, this handshake has "End in Tears" written all over it.

My uncle was coached by him for 5 years during his reign at Souths in QLD back in the day - all i will say is Wayne looks after Wayne.

The thoroughbreds group looked after him nicely as well.
Newslimited scuttled his deal with us.Bennetts assistant let out the story of his deal with us which gave Judas Bennett his excuse to pull out...

The Broncos aren't good because of Griffin, they are good because they have a great group of kids (like us) and half a dozen 200+ game rep players to provide experience (unlike us).

We have got the balance wrong between youth and experience and that's why we sit where we sit on the ladder.
Bronco team beat us this year on our home ground without any of their experienced players in it.

yes its nothing to do with griffin, he is just the coach and its a meaningless position.

If it is so meaningless as you keep implying in your posts, then that is another reason not to hang onto smith. We dont need smith if he has no impact or responsibilty on our how our team performs.

                          exactly right.

If we had a 1% chance of getting bennett, then I am happy that we tried and nearly got it.

Real failure is about not having a try in the first place or continuing to put up with rubbish (smith)

Ahh Fred, your old tactics of creating a strawman and knocking it down.

I'm all for punting smith but what i'm not for is another stop gap measure.

                                fred,
                                Do you have rechargeable batteries?
It's like you go quiet & then come back fully recharged to start with the same old shite.
                                We get it!
