Agreed he was the one who took us away from the near bottom of the NYC ladder to 3 final series in a row. Hes a great coach and he is the one who develoed Cordner, Moga, Taka and Mose. They were carving in Toyota Cup he understands their strucutre more than S,ith worth a shot he is.

The problem John with some of Generation Whine is they don't understand the difference between like and respect. There are some player groups out there that will not respond to even the most astute coaches. Even the magnificent Jack Gibson couldn't get Cronulla into the finals, let alone win one while he was coaching there.

The best teacher I ever had was a complete bastard, he made me get top of year 9 in science after just scraping through in years 7 and 8. Quite interestingly, it was Brian Battese.
