Of the Roosters over the last five years the stand outs are Craig Fitzgibbon and Simon Bonetti. I don't think I need to elaborate on why as I'm sure you all know.
I know technically Simon doesn't qualify but damn it I'll nominate him anyway.

brett kimmorley-man this guy has copped it from just about everyone but to his credit he sticks at it and has been a god send for the dogs, just what they needed.

others mentioned like Presto, Andrew Ryan, Hindy, Dallas, all of them have at some time or another really been given a hard time, especially the older blokes and geez i'd have any of them at the club. all seem like genuine good guys and hard workers. had to laugh at the article the other day about hindy and how his mum just wished he'd pull his pants up!

Fitzy, I have to agree with Kimmorley as well.

copped a right bagging because his manager was a greedy bastard. But he gives 100% and is a real team player

Luke "Bull" Bailey is another player I have a lot of time and respect for. The fact that the bloke manages to pull off some of the cover tackles he does is evidence of his determination and never say die attitude.

Again, there's nothing to flashy about the Bull but if you want a forward who'll play close to a whole game, take it up strong and hard and tackle like a demon, he's your man.

Fitzy's the closest we have to this bloke and unfortunately we'll lose him at year's end, which is a real shame. There must be something very special in the water down there on the South Coast to produce such quality forwards.

I have a few things to say about the replies

              1)Mack you love your stats

2)Ghost is that a list of absoloute c's

3)Kimmorley was largely ineffective at the sharks for 5 years while the ruck was slowed down. Noddy only goes well when the opposition are back peddling so he can play flat attack style footy.

              4) A lot of you have listed good blokes . So im guessing you admire them as people not just footy. That is more than fair enough in my books.

                Luke Phillips!

Freakishly talented, tough as teeth. "body on the line everytime" player who also was completely humble.

                  Lockyer
                  Johns
                  Inglis

Paul Gallen, puts in every single week, heart on his sleeve and pulls the jersey on with pride. For a lock to consistently average 150 metres per game is freakish.

Matt Cooper - A great person on and off the field. I believe took a pay cut to help retain other players.

Hasem El Magic - A short-arse who punches well above his weight. No off-field troubles what-so-ever.

I'd have to go with Morley on this one. He was sensational for us, did the hard yards as well as softening up the opposition when they tried to get over our blokes. Wish we could get him back. Wonderful player and his style is definitely to be admired.

Nathan Hindmarsh - Awesome player, awesome person.
Jarryd Hayne - He is an absolute freak and I love watching him play.
Trent Waterhouse - He just seems likeable and it's great seeing him play so well.
Kurt Gidley - I think on his day is one of the best players in the world. He is very passionate about his team.
Adrian Morley, Craig Fitzgibbon and Anthony Minichiello - No explanation needed haha.
