That 1 call proved more pivotal then the 3 combined against the roosters.

I'm sure if I sat down and watched the whole game of every game I would find 3 incorrect forward passes against 1 team in a match. Hell we played the Storm last week so i'm sure Smith should of been pinged a few times for forward passes but didn't so that went against the cowboys......

We arn't complaining and we won, total opposite to the roosters

Cowboymad, it must be pretty boaring on the cowboys forum if you have to spend this much time on ours.
Just remember, it wasn't that many years ago that the Cowboys weren't going so flash either.

Frak orf. The roosters are being robbed blind every week by the refs. It is beyond a joke.

As far as I am concerned if a ball goes forward, it is a forward pass. Don;t care about momentum or how it comes out of the players hands.

So it cost you 4 possibly 6 as the kick would of been from the sideline, and you had the chance to defend the other one but couldn't. Good teams do.

Brisbane had a open field call go against them where Mead ran the distance untouched costing them 6 points in a closely fought contest. They also had a questionable 8 point try go against them where I have seen worse infringements go unpunished.Never said I didn't like what some duluded and biased fans say on here. Its good for a chuckle or 2 especially after yet another poor game by them but it somehow deflects back onto the refs lol.

If the Cowboys had lost something like 60 of their last 70 odd penalty counts, you would be up in arms too.

Anyone blaming the ref for our loss on the weekend truly is deluding themselves to the point of mental illness.

We absolutely sucked. Actually we worse than sucked, we were diabolical.

I drove home from the game yesterday almost resigned to the fact that we will get the spoon this year. We are playing worse than any other team in the competition right now, and have been for the past month (even Parra have been competitive in that time).

Trying to pick hairs about "crucial" forward pass calls is pointless

The delusion is strong in this one. Yes he did but was going for the ball, like I said i'v seen worse then that, that havn't been given a possible 8 point try. Slater sliding in knees first numerous times but never punished for example.

So leilua scores in the corner, no certainty of that being converted so already you are assuming it would of been. Good teams defend wrong calls against them example being the cowboys last week against the storm while sh*t teams fold example being the roosters yesty.

Thankyou for being able to resist the easy temptation of just blaming the refs for what was a ordinary game by the roosters. I sincerly hope the players don't overlook their performances and just blame the refs like most people on this forum do. Otherwise their performances will never change.

I watched NRL on Fox from Wed night, Warren Smith said that we get to many wrong decisions from the ref's and video ref. Ricky Stuart turned around and agreed and said "you can't always blame the ref's, the decisions come from higher up". In other words Harrigan and Raper. He said the NRL needs to take a good look at them.
So far this season the only ref that has given us a "fair go" has been Shayne Hayne. We may not have won, but we didn't get penalised off the field.

]Exactly, every team gets calls against them they all even themself out over the season and its no coincedence that the top 8 is usually always the best 8 teams during the year. Using the refs as an excuse is the easy way out - exactly what most of you fans criticise the players for doing but are yet doing the exact same thing by turning a blind eye and blaming the refs.

Go watch the Storm v Cowboys game last week and watch some of the calls that dudded the cowboys late in the 2nd half. I know what its like to have a team that packs it in when the going gets tough I have supported the cowboys all my life and up untill the last 18-24 months they had no backbone what so ever apart from when Rauhihi and Campion were at the club together in 04/05. But on that night they had several dud calls against them that went in favour of the storm but they fought hard for one another and came out on top.

The roosters at the moment are a young and rudderless squad at the moment who are continually taking the easy option.

We will need to get every 50 - 50 call over the remaining games for it even go close to evening itself out.

The refs were NOT to blame for yesterday's performance. The refs certainly didn't help but they were not to blame. However, they have certainly cost us in other games this year. The problem I have with the refs is not the penalties they give against us but the ones they don't give us when the opposition transgresses. For instance the Sharks last week. It was astounding that for the first 50 minutes the Sharks were almost the perfect team!
