Any statistics can be read/manipulated to suit an argument. However, normally statistics even out over time. These stats certainly buck the trend here.....

Our side is crap this year, no question, but also how many refs have been sacked for mistakes in our games this year or should have been sacked - quite a few. Our complaints about poor referreeing are not new - some of the biggest complaints we had about refs were in 2010 - at least then we had the fortitude (& carney) to overcome the bad decisions. I do think though we have been worn down by it over time...winning 25% of penalty counts in the last 5 years would, I suggest, do that to any side.

Regarding the 2010 season, yes amazing we made the GF, but determination by Finch and his hatchet men Archer and Harrigan saw to it that the worst buggering from behind was saved for us in that game. Merge were in real trouble until rescued by a series of diabolical calls. 30 points by Merge on scoreboard but only one actual try scored. 1 legitimate "forward pass" try to us disallowed that would have seen us lead 14-6 at half time. 1 penalty to us in 70 minutes. Just refreshing everyone's bad memory.

And yes we have been worn down. Unhappiness and despair in the ranks of the players, coaches and fans on here.

Job has just about been completed.
