    3 vital 'forward passes' today.

    1. Pearce to Leilua. Leilua was in, roosters fans celebrating, everything was good. Oh, forward pass. Look the replay, went backwards off the hands. Lovely pass.

    2. and 3. I forgot, but both were DEFINITELY backwards. What the fu(k is going on with referees? Those three forward passes (especiallythe first one) cost us the game, as well as our horrible defence.

One of them was Mini to Aubs, absolutely horrendous call, right after we'd scored points and penrith were down to 12, gave away a try the next set. We didn't deserve to win, but god damn it would be nice to get a chance once and a while

Yea definately 2 and 3 were not forward passes and cost the roosters the game, just trying to remember what passes they were that were incorrectly called forward by the refs................................

The reality is our attack is so poor that we are always reduced to complaining about refs.If we had points in us we'd be higher on the table.

Exactly, every team gets calls against them they all even themself out over the season and its no coincedence that the top 8 is usually always the best 8 teams during the year. Using the refs as an excuse is the easy way out - exactly what most of you fans criticise the players for doing but are yet doing the exact same thing by turning a blind eye and blaming the refs.

Go watch the Storm v Cowboys game last week and watch some of the calls that dudded the cowboys late in the 2nd half. I know what its like to have a team that packs it in when the going gets tough I have supported the cowboys all my life and up untill the last 18-24 months they had no backbone what so ever apart from when Rauhihi and Campion were at the club together in 04/05. But on that night they had several dud calls against them that went in favour of the storm but they fought hard for one another and came out on top.

The roosters at the moment are a young and rudderless squad at the moment who are continually taking the easy option.

I watched NRL on Fox from Wed night, Warren Smith said that we get to many wrong decisions from the ref's and video ref. Ricky Stuart turned around and agreed and said "you can't always blame the ref's, the decisions come from higher up". In other words Harrigan and Raper. He said the NRL needs to take a good look at them.
So far this season the only ref that has given us a "fair go" has been Shayne Hayne. We may not have won, but we didn't get penalised off the field.

The majority of calls we have received this season have not affected results IMO, I can't speak for everyone but I just want some bloody consistency. Melbourne could throw those passes today 10 times each and not one would be called forward. Agree that we just fold when the going gets tough though, that will come with experience. Also, if you think the decisions we have copped have evened themselves out this year then you're kidding yourself.

Harrigan was a member of the NSW Police Service. Might explain a thing or two about his ethics.

Agree. The reason why it does still frustrate me (and a few others on here) is that this is not a one-off. win or lose; whether we come last or make the gf, we are always the most penalised side. something like -200 over the past 5 years. daylight second. the refs absolutely overrefereed today. that passage where anasta was penalised for a shepard and the kingston for not playing the ball straight (which imo was a blatant square-up) proved this. 2 teams both bottom of the table looking to entertain, let the boys play ffs. not to mention the forward pass. We lost by 12; had 1 try (to henry) disallowed for a non-forward pass and they scored one after mini was ruled to have thrown it forward to aubusson which he didnt not only sealing the game but crushing our comeback.

we are playing bad which makes the refs errors more obvious because we arent a great side atm and cant make up for them as easily but by my calculations, the game is suddenly even if those 2 blatantly wrong calls are correct.

Every team gets done for that (maybe roosters more so this year, maybe not) but its how you react after that, that seperates the good and the bad teams.

Sadly for the diehard roosters fans that arn't deluded and bias on here the roosters just arn't that good this year. A couple years down the track they will be a very good team if they can get a good coach and maybe one old head to guide them around until Cordner is ready to step up and be captain.

I agree with that. statistically we are the most penalised team whether we are making gfs or running last. thats not a rub of the green, it evens out over time type thing. thats the point im making. trust me im not deluded. we are a young team with massive potential being sent to the dogs every week because they are unprepared
