ive been surprised how bad he has been this year. it would take another poor year until I would say that he is the ultimate dud. I wouldnt mind seeing him moved to lock. get him more involved. he has great skills, can hit a hole and over the last couple of years has been statistically the best one-on-one tackler and high tackle efficiency, low missed tackles despite some poor efforts this year. he could do the cover work and add some sharpness around the ruck. For next year, id go with maubs or SBW at left centre (the other in the backrow playing together none the less down the same edge) with leilua as an impact backrower off the bench.

Roz, i think its beyond obvious now that Maubs isn't a centre. He's a right side second rower and that is it. But imo next year he will be 3rd in line to that gig anyway. I could live with a backrow of SBW, Maubs and Cordner next year though. Leilua will probably get another year in the backs even though i don't agree with that. And Guerra and Takairangi will fight it out for the bench second row spot.

I would have no problem with SBW in the centres next year with Guerra and Cordner in the second row. There wouldn't be much difference in SBWs attacking role, and it would take the defensive workload off him. This would mean Moga onto the wing, but given Moga's speed, he would be deadly outside SBW.

Still hoping to see FPN play consistently. If he can do this I still think he is our best option at lock. Whenever the Roosters pack looks good, FPN leads the way. Sadly this doesn't happen anywhere near enough. Maybe he could wear a NZ jersey under the RWB.

            Cordner is a gun..

Guerra and Aubusson would not get a start in the second row at many other NRL clubs, if any...
I like them both, because they play for Easts, but they are not actually very good..

Guerra is a starting second rower fullstop!

                Guerra is good, Aubusson isn't.

I believe we bought SBW to play centre as well Fleabags. We have a thousand second rowers whom have all been re-signed.I would love to see Moga getting good ball from his off loads...

You honestly don't think Guerra is any good?

Look, as I said, I do like him, but he doesn't compare to your Burgess, Pritchard, Taylor, Tony Williams, Glenn Stewart, Watmough, Myles, Gillett, Te'o, Meteo, Mannering, Housten, Costigan, Hoffman, Jeremy Smith, Papalii, Gavin Cooper, Gareth Ellis....

I'd have Guerra over a few on this list lol.

Guerra still has a lot of defensive deficiencies, I think he's improved a lot this season but it will be more of a concern next year when he's defending next to Maloney. Aubusson will come good, you don't just loose your ability in your mid 20's. He's still without a doubt in my mind our best defender and I think he's been missed on the right fringe, Cordner can be guilty of jamming in and leaving us short on the right at times.
