    I'm confident of a NYC and NRL win; the U20's are playing 15th and the FG side will know they have to keep winning if they want ANY chance of making the finals

      It would be a welcome change to get the double.

          Late Mail Man reckons Searle was getting replaced overnight.

          I bet the Tatts will really be doing it for Mick

            NEW Titans supremo David May will move into Michael Searle's office at the controversial Centre of Excellence next week as part of the club's biggest re-structure after 24-months of uncertainty at the troubled NRL franchise.

            The former marketing boss of the club's only two major sponsors Jetstar and iSelect has been handpicked by the club's new investors and ARLC chiefs to take over the club's finances and day-to-day operations.

            A new independent board will be announced in mid-August, with the club's white knight financiers Graeme Connor, Darryl Kelly and Anshuman Magazine expected to be offered positions.

            The Bulletin can reveal that with the injection of cash from the trio and the unconditional sale of the Centre of Excellence on Monday, league chiefs believe the Titans are now back on track.

            Under the new leadership structure, Mr Searle will take on an executive football director role, which is expected to be similar to Phil Gould's position at the Penrith Panthers. He will continue as managing director of the Titans 4 Tomorrow entity.

            When asked by the Bulletin whether Mr Searle would report to him, Mr May said 'yes'.

            "Michael will be reporting to me. His position will be a board position but he will be reporting to me as the executive director of football," Mr May said.

            The Brit, who grew up watching footy at The Boulevard stadium in Hull, said he would control the commercial side of the business and Mr Searle's focus would be the first-grade team and signing new players.

            Mr May will lead negotiations with Jetstar, the club's inaugural team sponsor, to keep them onboard.

            "He (Searle) is really focused on the first team -- the senior playing squad -- working closely with Carty (John Cartwright)," he said.

            "He's well connected with the player agents, knows a lot of the personalities at the other clubs. That's going to be invaluable for us. To get the right players squad under confines of the salary cap is a fine art."

            Mr May, who will move north from Melbourne with wife Kortney next Wednesday to take the reins at the club, said his aim was to make the club a "more simpler organisation''.

            "One of the first things that I want to do on my first day in the job next week is talk directly with some of our supporters and get a view from them on how they feel about things. I know that there have been days over the past 12 to 24 months where things haven't looked so great and I understand people have viewed the club with a degree of uncertainty."

            Mr May said he wouldn't have resigned from "one of the best marketing jobs in the country'' at iSelect -- who will takeover as naming rights sponsor of the club next season -- if he believed the club had not secured its financial future.

            "I know the quality of people who are investing in the club."

            Mr May said he had spoken about the club and the role with ARLC chairman John Grant and Gary Pemberton and had spent a lot of time with acting CEO Shane Mattiske.

            "They have been, as much as they can, incredibly supportive of the Gold Coast Titans and they've given us every chance to put a line under the future of the club with bringing Darryl, Graeme and Anshuman to the club we're incredibly grateful for their support."

              Betting agency guy told the 2GB radio host this afternoon;

              "There's big money to say that the Titans will wil by 2 1/2 +"

              ______________

              My questions;

              1. How many of our fair tries will be disallowed this week?

              2. How many of our fair passes will be called forward this week?

              3. How many unfair penalties will be awarded against us this week?

              4. Will Pearce and Anasta throw any "soft-hands" passes to our big forwards running at pace who'll crash over the line out in the centres for tries this week?

              We should get the penalties 9-2 tonite, like Cronulla did against us at Shark Park.
              That is only fair.

                There's no doubting that we get the rough end when it comes to penalty counts but if we were good enough it wouldn't matter.

                We've always got a bit of a raw deal but it didn't worry us in the early 2000's because we were good enough to brush it off and get on with it. Those pricks could be down 20-zip at half time yet I didn't have a care in the world because they had heart and could win from anywhere.

                Look at Canterbury atm, they're the second worst, after us, with penalty counts yet they're sitting on top of the table. Why? Because when things don't go their way they don't pack up and put hands on heads like our pack of pea hearted soft cocks.

                Yes, the refereeing gets to me too but the way these blokes drop their bundle after a couple of bad calls is borderline embarressing sometimes.

                In short, If you's are getting ****ed on by the poofs in pink, fire up, man the **** up and dig in you pack of fairies.
