But I can tell you I will be the Chairman one day
Morls, promise us you will scrap the age old constitution so that beloved supporters of the club can become members of the football club after serving a 2-3 year wait. The present set-up sux....it's a closed shop for the boys. You have to wait, wait and wait some more until someone falls off their perch. Even then an ex-player will jump the queue & get precedence

When will people realise that being a rich businessman doesn't mean you have a clue about running a successful football club!

To make a success of a footy club the people running it need to have some insight into how the football world ticks. It's not just about numbers and profits, it's about players, sponsors and supporters.

It is more about being a good judge of character than any business accumen. So that you choose the right coach and admin staff, who then choose the right players for the club etc etc. It's about being able to judge whether individuals have the right mental attitude as well as the physical talent.

All the money in the world can't buy some of the natural attributes you need to run a successful footy club.

Great nomination. Quayle & Politis are very close, in fact, they share business interests - vineyards i think.

John Brass is another successful businessman and ex champion Rooster that comes to mind.

            Ding! Ding! Ding!

            Case in point.......Clive Palmer.....nfi.

Got got lucky in the business world & is preceding to make life hell for everyone attached to his latest whim.
Notice how the Liberal Party have now distanced themselves from him? They have finally realised this guy is just like a spoiled kid with too many toys.

We need someone that has a small ego & no ambition to achieve stardom. Just a good club CEO with common sense & no tolerance for bullshit.

It’s the man and his inteferrence that is the issue. If the man stopped his interferrence he wouldn’t be the issue.

Clive Palmer is a "national living treasure". He paid a few hundred people to nominate him and won.

He might not make a good chairman, but he is building the Titanic II. That would be a fantastic major sponsor for The Roosters.

You can't change the man that he is Chook - I get the feeling he has always been a control freak and nothing will change now.

His interference and need for control wouldn't be a hindrance if he was running his own business, as he was when he built up City Ford. The problem is that he treats the Roosters like they are his own personal business and runs it like he would a dodgy bros caryard!

Yep, we've done a great impersonation of the original Titanic, this year :/

Can we book the bulk of our current playing roster on its maiden voyage you reckon? I'd be happy to contribute a few dollars for the privilege.

One of our sponsors could be Liar and DeShonko.

It doesn't take a person with the intelligence of Rod Quantock to work out there's something wrong with the Roosters.

To be honest, I'm so hungry I could crack a fat right now.
