After disagreeing with me you've surely come around to the fact that FPN's best position is in the front row. I think at lock he tries to take on too much of a ball playing roll but in the front row he's forced to take those extra hit ups off the kick offs, drop outs etc. & just generally being in the role where you're expected to take the hit ups straight off the ruck.
I dont think FPN should be in the team at all. despite a strong performance tonight, he is one of the few players that I have truly given up on. Even if he were to go on and do well at another club, I wouldnt really mind. he is far too inconsistent and frustrating and has developed into a nothing. he came into grade as a powerhouse wrecking ball, he then trimmed down and became too small and now he is somewhere in between. We dont need him imo especially with guys like evans coming through

Far out.. just looked at the try he set up again... that run was Barba-esque... what a champion. Made half their team look silly with his footwork.

My favourite was the first he made when in the in-goal.. that was the same move I saw him do in the NZ schoolboy rugby vid and knew he was a star... completely bedazzled the player in-front of him from a standing start after taking a kick. Faked going one way for a microsecond then woosh he's left them grabbing thin air. Already has one of the best steps in the NRL along with Marshall and Johnson.

The thing I really enjoyed was his defence. He saved a couple of tries for us tonight which I thought was great. Suitably impressed. I would like to see him work on his aerial ability and positioning over the next 6-9 months.

Yep, really wasn't expecting some of the saves he pulled off.

Imo, 2 games in and he's already impressed me more than Moga has

Me too. Moga has shown he has some brilliance in him, it is just a matter of him getting some good ball and a little space. RTS on the other hand has always been one of those players who creates something out of nothing in my mind.

I've been impressed with both but you're right... he is a different player though and hopefully by next year or the year after, RTS is a strike player for us at fullback and Moga in the centres linking with each other. Already a great start that they are good friends off the field.

You're right Spanner.. I see Moga as a player that won't let you down if you give him a bit of room to move, whereas RTS can do things on his own with his footwork and acceleration.

RTS must move to fullback where he can truly shine. Mini did the same when Phillips retired and then he became the best fullbakc until injuries hit and Slater took over. I know its early but he can dictate in that position and he will get more ball as you can see Mini soaks up alot of runs in fullback and in that way RTS can contribute more leading to opportunities amd tries.

Cant wait for Maloney, SBW and Oldfield nest year. Top 4 I predict.

                    Top 4???
Maybe squeeze into the 8. It may take time for the new blokes to gel. If we can be there abouts after origin hopefully we will be hitting our straps and make a play for the semis from there.

I'd like to think RTS is RTSesque. Fuk Barba.

                        Exactly!

                        Barba wishes he was RTSesque!

I hope the first thing SBW does if he comes to us is shoulder charge the **** out of you. Mini was a two/three year nrl player in a dominating side when that happened.
