But there were still some very frustrating points in his game. Case in point: letting the easiest 40/20 you could think of roll past him. He didn't even know it was a 40/20
    Agree.
He did the exact same thing against the dogs at home, exact same side. Think Reynolds kicked it. He tends to let the ball bounce infront of him before picking it up and by the time he does the opposition chasers are in his face. He gets it wrong with choosing which kicks in goal to play at and which ones to let go.

Mini is a tradie under the highball. He caught that bomb on our line where as not many other fb in the comp would have been able do deal with that type of pressure from opposition.

Mini will always be an all time favourite of mine but the game is moving past him and the count has to move aside and finish his career in the position he started it in.

He actually makes every attempt to catch it on the full, he certainly has come up with some spectacular takes this year. His only real weakness is the rolling/bouncing ball. Other than that i think he has been pretty solid at the back for most of the year.

There's no switch of play, the short pass and massive step might be deceiving you but that was a basic pass a good 5 metres before the line.

Leilua was already running at a slight angle, and at least mini through the right pass. Anasta would have thrown Moga

I was referring to the rolling/bouncing ones in goal. Doesnt seem like he know what ones to play at early or leave to let run dead. He does catch most of the oppositions clearing kick from outside their 40 on the fly and does return the ball well. But when he has to chase a rolling ball tends to let bounce once or twice more then what he should. Wasn't saying he hasn't been solid.

I haven't watched replays or highlights yet but at the game it seemed like BJ had to kinda reach out for it. Could be wrong.

Its called angle running or a switch

It's not a switch, a switch is changing the direction of play. Pearce receives the ball from right to left, Mini then receives the ball from right to left and then Leilua receives the ball from right to left, there's no switch. It's Leilua's step mixed with some very poor defence that creates the try.

Just watching the replay and I have to agree with the commentators the play was very poorly executed and Mini threw the pass too early, it was Leilua's change of direction which got the defenders on a greasy track.

This is one of the issues I have with the Try Assists stat, just because you threw the last pass doesn't mean you created the try. Guerra does more in that play than Mini...

Mini is the worst fullback in the comp in both attack and defence. His only shining light is he's safe under the high ball, that's it. In every other facet of fullback play Mini is the pits.

                        Chook.

The amount of inside balls that this team tries I'd say it was a fluke.

I get so sad when I see other fullbacks running the ball back at full pace.

I have to settle for Mini dancing back like a ballerina after doing a few pirouette's around the bouncing ball.
