  • Members' thingy barbecue

Went today for the first time ever, and it was a decent turn-out.

JWH stayed back (seemingly of his own volition) after the rest of the ingrates left, and was a thoroughly pleasant, charismatic and gracious dude.

Oh, and I kicked both Forrester's and Evan's arses at pass-the-ball. sign me up, O'Sullivan.

    As you were.

Agree, first time I've been to one also. Took the wife and kids who really enjoyed it....well the kids did JWH stayed back long after EVERYBODY else had done the bolt, got a pic with him with the kids, very pleasant guy. Nothing seemed to much trouble for him, very impressed. Also Mose was wandering around making himself available which was good. most of the other Polynesian guys just sat on there arse waiting to go home. Overall a good morning, well done to the club.

Take it how you like. MOST of the guys seemed half interested to chat, while MOST, not all, the Polly, guys just sat slouched back in there seats scribbling there names on posters etc. Just an observation, that's all.

Personally I found them easily approachable and spoke with the majority of them. Nice people

Coincidence or was winning a must knowing that some fans would have been a little vocal had they lost again on Friday? Maybe they should organise a BBQ after each game to keep the players and coaches on their toes.

Next year, Mike and I will be doing some bonding.

Everyone will be creaming in their pants over Maloney (and SBW) but I'll be making time for Mike. I have high hopes for him.

The two chaps who were most 'available' were Masoe and JWH - both Polynesians.

Most everyone else was there. Beaker was hanging out in the background, very available to chat should anyone have had the urge, but alas; folk kept mistaking him for an insane bum, so avoided him.

I went to this as well and found all the polynesian players freindly, willing to have a chat & have there photo's taken, like all players who were there. Some of them may be a little on the quiet & shy side but thats just how they are. Overall it was a very enjoyable day.

Your comments are nothing short of racist & the really sad thing is that you dont realise it.

PS: There were several players, not just JWH, who stayed back for a while.

Doesnt matter what the club does there is always someone having a whinge.
