MINI'S MAJOR ISSUE
THERE are suggestions that Roosters coach Brian Smith will consider playing young gun Roger Tuivasa-Sheck at fullback for the final two games of the year.
Tuivasa-Sheck is a fullback who is being played on the wing, but champion veteran Anthony Minichiello would resist any move to switch him to that position.
Thoughts?
And look who won that argument and look where we are sitting as a result.
If true then Mini must be told he can play fullback..........in Italian rugby.

Resistance can also be in a number of forms 1 He has a whinge about it Which seems to suit most on here 2 His resistance is along the lines of him stepping up to the challenge of him losing his spot and playing top footy at the back
Finally how the fcuk would this newspaper know what Smith is planning to do in a few weeks ?When you trust your television

Well said Andrew Walker.
People should stop believing every article that comes out of a newspaper. This is just another beat up. There is no way this article has any credit. Of course mini won't just give up his spot, he is the most determined footy player I have ever seen. He went through hell rebuilding his body to get back to playing so why would he just give it up now.
In saying that, if RTS is the right man for the job then the powers that be have to make the tough call and make the switch regardless. No one wants to give up there spot in any team

Also what the fark would we talk about if we didn't comment or speculate about what is written in the papers?
It would be a bloody boring place.

Sorry but i dont believe there is any place for Mini in the roosters backline next year.Who do we drop to accomodate Mini, Sheck? Moga?Oldfield?Henery? one of them will have to go to newtown to accomadate Mini who is well past his best and should have retired at the end of this season.Been a good player for us over the years though.

Mini's biggest problem is he's trying too hard to create something out of nothing because nobody else is making it happen. It's no coincidence that he was playing well enough to earn another year early in the season when we were going OK. All he had to do then was catch the bombs and chime into the attack now & again, and provide support play. These are the things he can still do reliably. When it all turned to crap and the points (& wins) dried up, Mini tried harder and harder to be a play-maker and create something, and, sadly, that's just all a bit beyond him these days.
Next year, with other creative options, he can go back to doing what he does best, and leave the fancy stuff to Maloney, SBW etc. He can still be effective, and still has a lot to offer in helping to develop our young backs. He'll be fine next year, because won't have to try to be fullback and 5/8 in one.
