I remember watching Ali's last couple of fights, I feel the same when I watch Miniciello now. Very sad.

he was seriously bad tonight. The problem we have though is that as we saw tonight, moga and RTS made some average decisions and mistakes at times that cost us. This does not mean that they wont become great players but the reason why mini is being held onto is to try and add a bit of stability to our young backline which is going to be prone to inconsistency. unfortunately tonight at least, mini was more of a problem than a solution....

He shouldve retired years ago most of all hes a sook. He refused to play because of minor rib injuries. When your a proffessionsl injuries arent an excuse. Minor injuries doesnt stop you from playing.

Also would like to thank him for making us lose to the Dragons in 2010. Obstructed that try which led to a penalty thanks alot.

this tipifies the issue I have with some posters on here. you just described one of the clubs greatest champions by making a couple of ridiculous assertions. mini a sook? the bloke had his back broken ffs in the peak of his career. we all rabbit on about slater but the reality is that its only now at 30 odd that slater managed to secure the best player in the world tag. mini did that in 05 as a 25 year old when the likes of johns and lockyear were in their prime. We arent talking about some random hack who went ok for a few years when we had a good side and were winning comps (like hegarty) but a player that has done it all and has had his career cruelled by that back injury.

he isnt as good as he used to be but some of the mud slinging is a bit out of hand imo. the reality is that if these guys had half a clue in terms of defensive and attacking structure and fitness, we wouldnt even notice mini let alone criticise him

but how do you excuse the indefensible? Have you not seen some of his ridiculous errors, terrible positioning and general ineptness he has displayed this season? Most of the mistakes coming from him are caused by himself and are a detriment to the team

for example - various grubbers this season that have gone into the in goal that have lead to opposition trys. I don't know about you, but typically that is a fullback requirement to clean most of those up

oh yea tonight in particular he was horrible so much so that he was pushed onto the wing. that said, if we werent playing so badly that we are in these match positions where we concede every time the other team gets in our half and we cant string a good attacking play together if our lives depend on it, the shortcomings of players such as mini would be less obvious/serious. as ive said previously, he can't play a second 5/8 role. a good coach therefore wouldnt make him play like that but instead give him some simple role like "follow the forwards for offloads or run short-ball unders lines off the hip of our halves looking for a pass or kick. that is his strength

Miniciello is rubbish and is one of a number of players that need to be dropped, I dread the thought of him as our fullback for next year.

What an absolutely ridiculous post. I think I remember you saying you are a kid? Save your comments for for stuff that you are qualified to comment on. 'Minor rib injuries' ?? What would you know about playing FG football with rib injuries. Rib injuries, whether a break or bruising, are one of the most painfil injuries you can have. And thats just when you have to &hit, sneeze, cough etc. Trying playing football with the injury. Calling Mini a sook shows your level of intelligence and your immaturity. He played crap tonight and has played crap in many other games this year. He is past it. But to label him a sook is disgraceful and you should hang your head in shame.

Give me inconsistency over incompetency every day of the week.

RTS will learn from his failures, let the kid develop. Failure isn't the worst thing for these kids, they're seriously over protected... just look at Ben Barba.

I can't fathom how Moga wasn't in the Centres tonight either..

                                Yep, really bad last night.

One of the howlers was the Gary Coleman kick through and score. Mini was not even on the same half of the field. I think against a goal line defence so back-pedalling, and so brittle as ours, with a hopelessly out of position and absent fullback, most of us could have scored that try the different strokes star scored last night.
