  • SKD - Respect

Appreciated these comments from the main page :

"... Kenny-Dowall isn't so positive when talking about his own performances this year.
Always one to be brutally honest, SKD is far from happy with his efforts so far in 2012.
"I am really disappointed and not happy with what I have produced this year."
"I'm not used to not playing regularly and I have had an injury interrupted year so I think I have been under par."

All you can ask of someone is honesty. Good to see him say these words and for the club to print them. We need more "frankness" and less spin.

    Yeah, ditto that Stumpy.
Hope the other players take a leaf.

        Who could that possibly be?
        Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

It'd be nice if Shaun started using his shoulders when he attempts to tackle..

This is a worrying trend that is catching on in NRL....the shirt grabbers.

Seeing more & more of it lately.

I've noticed it as well chook. Some of ours - SKD, FPN, JFK, Aubusson, Pearce, (sometimes) Minichiello. On the other hand Jake Friend cops alot here but without his defence this year we would be spoon certainties.

If my old man caught me jumper grabbing when I was a young fella he'd sledge me all week until I played the next Saturday.

Could never question friend in terms of defence, his attack at times is another thing, even though lately I think he has improved.

I read it differentely. I reckon he is making excuses cause of the few injuries he has had. If he said he was unhappy with how he's been going and left it at that then I'd have respect....But he goes on to say it's because he hasn't played regular football.

It is an excuse and a factor.

So what's his excuse for the other 3 years of jumper grabbing BG?

God help us when younger players are looking to SKD for advice and guidance. They are better off putting blinkers on and guessing, as this is exactly how he plays. Start tackling like you mean it 'Lanten' or pack your back-pack and boot off.

                              Excuses, excuses.
