Dice - betting that we will make the 8 under Smithy next year.

How does the double or nothing bit work?

In regards to drive & passion STSAE I agree all coaches wouldn't be at the highest level if they had lost their passion or drive to win but like with everything there is the best of the best & this being a 16 team comp I can see 15 other coaches who wanted it more & have more passion & drive.

I have read the stats more than once in the media of late that we have the youngest squad in the comp and have given up the penalties differential for over 5 seasons now, including this one. IMO after taking the young side who were penalised alot to the GF in 2010 that he had the chance to build spirit & have a very competitive team, most on here tipped them to make the top 4 last year. And it just hasnt happened it has got worse. Thats where I am coming from using the term illusion.

If your expectations are exceeded then not met wouldn't that have more to do with you setting unrealistic expectations in relation to the talent in the club??? After all if you are not realistic with what you expected out of a side with our capabilities in the 1, 6, 7 and 9 jumpers this season that would make your expectations unrealistic, wouldn't it???

This I agree with you on, I have let my expectations get in the way, I have never really rated Friend so I can at times see him do some good things but he still isn't good enough but the other 3 have gone backwards mind the pun over the last 2 years, but I thought it would only be for 2011 not 2012 as well.

So here is my no doubt very stupid question. As you will soon realise, I don't bet. The price for option 1 above $8.00. Does that mean that if one bets $1 on that result and that's what happens he wins $8.00 and if he bets $2 he gets $16 etc??

I have been trying to figure how it works for years - please someone put me out of my misery. I am forever being bombarded with betting odds and I seriously have no clue!
