Dice, you are the one offering to bet, acting all tough, yet you haven't even indicated how much you are offering to bet with. So you are hardly putting your money where your big fat mouth is.

The fairest way would be a straight bet, Will we make the 8 with Smith as coach. If Smith is sacked before the season the bet is off. If he is sacked during the season Fred wins.

Thanks for clearing that up for me Fitzy. The closest I tend to get to betting is buying a horse or two in the office sweeps for the Melbourne Cup. And that does not involve odds.

I have placed a few piddly bets at the races in the very distant past but those bets were based on either the name of the horse or the colours of the jockey and, not surprisingly, there were no winnings involved. And what the odds were didn't even factor into those bets.

                Why the tigers confidence patch?

I am a betting man and I have! I agree, as Sir Paul once said "I've got a feeling, a feeling deep inside"

It's just the way I read things. For some reason I can see the Tigers who I dont see going anywhere this year but are potent if they are on, coming out & beating the team that is coming first. I could be wrong but like I said if I was a betting man I would put a monkey on the Tigers to win maybe by 13 plus.

Smith to coach Roosters for all of season 2013 - My price $3.25
Smith to start season as coach but not see season out - My price $4.50

Roosters to make/miss 8 with Smith as coach for entire season - My prices make $2.35 miss $1.65
Is dice taking bets? If so I'm off to see the bank and getting on all three of those options.

Can we read into the Dymock not wanting to coach origin decision today? Fingers crossed someone has approached him to come join a new coaching team at the chooks. Dissapointment about Pay joing Sticky at Parra, would have loved seeing him at the chooks in charge of fg

That gig wouldnt preclude him from landing a first grade coaching gig. Lets hope to hell unckle nick comes to his senses and lavishes him like ghengis khan. Pay that is.

                                Bet on these sure things.

                                1. Somewhere in the Northern Tablelands, Tony Windsor is well on the way to being paralytic.
                                2. I am not watching Melbourne play.
