The way that he fends players off, reminds me of hodges in his early days. He is a very hard player to tackle one on one and also has a sneaky offload in him. He has been playing outside a mediocre 5/8th this year. With SBW and Maloney arriving next year he should see a lot more decent ball and get some space to move in.He can also leap very high and make some good takes.

Things which he needs to work on are his legs speed in defence as he is being caught out in defence too many times. Also his right foot step would be useful in the centres, and of course his ball control which comes under constant scrutiny. Other than that I see him as a huge player for the future.
    pretty fair assessment

No. Talented and all, but his hands are like feet and he makes some really poor decisions. I expect a lot more from someone who has played 60-70 first grade games. Let me put it this way. Hoffman, Dugan, Gillett, Foran, Merrin, Tamou and Locke have all played a similar number of games, and each of them have shown a lot more.

I think you're harsh. Some clumsy hands at times, but if they were truly feet he wouldn't come up with the high ball takes and good offloads he achieves. I think he is still polishable into a diamond. Plus he has had to psychologically contend with a bitter, vindictive bitch of an ex abusing AVOs against him in a modern politico-legal climate that almost always vilifies and victimizes males.

I rate him higher then Moga....Moga has yet to prove himself in the top grade yet somehow is a shoein for the centre/wing spot.

I agree with BJ on the wing .... I think with proper off season speed training and positional lessons he could be a very dangerous winger

            IMO

Not knowing how he will hit it up in the forwards as opposed to say FPN ect centre is probably the best place for him, he has been explosive at times and a real handful at centre. Moga on tonights performance might need a season or so at Newtown as he still seems a bit too raw.

Then your opinion on SKD should be alot worse as he has played 40 odd games more and mimics a crab in running style and also can't tackle and makes just as many mistakes, on this seasons form i would have BJ at centre before SKD or Moga.

I think sometimes with highly rated kids, the tendency is to play them in first grade as soon as possible so that they don't have a tanty and go elsewhere. That's certainly why Pearce was blooded so young and I suspect the same with Moga.

A season and a half ago SKD was the best centre in the world. Right around that 60-70 game mark. Leilua hasn't looked getting anywhere near that at any stage in his career.

Best centre in the world outside of Carney. Outside of Anasta he as in SKD looks very bloody ordinary. Also remember he was playing for a contract as well which is a huge motivator too.

BJ has a lot of potential.

There's some stuff he needs to get out of his game, but he's the goods.

It dosn't matter who we have in the centers at the moment becouse we have an imposter at 5/8. SKD, Moga & the rest of our backs will be much better outside a player that can create in Maloney!

There is a common occurunce in most posts.
                              "WITH GOOD COACHING"
Sadly, we are seriously lacking in that department

More rocks than diamonds. You can probably remember how many times he did good in a season more than the amount of mistakes.
