I have to agree CN, Moga looks the goods but lacks the ability to trust his instincts and just go for it.

What we need is a coach that can bring out the best in these players.

I would hate to play outside of him at the moment both in attack or defence.
Maybe he needs to spend time at Newtown to learn some defence and to learn that being a centre means you have a winger on the outside of you.

He plays with no urgency whatsoever.

Runs the ball half hearted and his one on one defence is abysmal.

At least RTS has a go.
He's not as fast or as good as his praising disciples think he is.
He can't really run that fast, Pearce seems faster than him, and he certainly can't tackle.
Look at that try the Eels scored in the corner last week, when they simply passed the ball along their backline and scored past Henry and him.

Maybe a different coach could improve his play.
Atm he should be in the 20's or Newtown.

And when he's on the wing learn that on the wing he's supposed to be, not in the centres.

Personally i think that with the relegation of reserves as opposed as it was back in the day you would watch the kids play first then Reggies then first grade it seems the experience they would have got in reserves they miss out on because the league use Toyota Cup as a platform to 1st grade rather than reserve grade. I hope that made sense. I think the league is worse off for it.

F*ck me. We hae bigger problems then a talented 18 year old who has played a handful of games.

He's definitely suited more to the wing in FG than centre.

We have to persist with him. I guarantee if he gets dropped to Newtown or U20s, someone like Bellamy will poach him up and he'll become a star at the Storm.

He's not a centre. He was never noted for his defensive reads in the 20's, only his attack. Teams will just run at him all day if he stays in the centres. He's a winger who needs a good centre inside him who can make up for his defensive liabilities and allow him to thrive in attack.

not arguing about anything mate. I don't see the need to praise something that is expected of a winger. If he somehow found a way to screw that one up then he shouldn't be in first grade. That was a fundamental wingers try and nothing else

also, i expect that every player coming through is not immune to criticism

He is on the field so whether he is 12 or 35 he will be judged on his performances.

I have acknowledged his age but there are aspects of his game that will need plenty of work before he is considered a good first grader.

Give the kid a break hes 18 years old.Hes scored 5 trys for us in his few apperances in firsts.Hes been moved around from wing to center and they are totally diffrent posisitions a center handles going to the wing better than a winger to center though in A grade its still tough. He will be an awsome player for us.That try the raiders scored tonight wasnt taus fault watch the replay it was anasta that was the problem.

We were begging for this kid to get a start in the centres, he has, he's still learning and all everyone wants to do is pick his game apart. I'll judge him after 20or30 first grade games which is what every one else should do. Let him adjust to the speed and skill level of the blokes he is playing against before we see what he has got
