  • SBW - throw away line from the Telegraph

    http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/spo...-1226453335165

    MONEY-BILL
    - THE Sonny Bill Williams deal at the Roosters is still dependent on Channel Nine agreeing to televise one of his fights. Another NRL club is watching closely with chequebook poised and salary cap space.

It's near the bottom of the article, just near where it says John Hartigan has committed emotional suicide.

How did she convince two people in one lifetime to marry her?

When she and Hartigan had been at it for a while and he finally left his wife she sent an email to get whole address book. Subject: Ding Dong The Bitch Is Dead.

This sounds like Telegraph mischief making to me. How would SBW appear if he went to another club (or to no NRL club at all) after publicly saying that he was returning to the game to "honour a promise" he made (i.e. to Politis)? Rupert's monkeys are just trying to sell a few more papers by getting their bogan readership excited that their clubs might be in the running.

(The only other team that could afford SBW would be Canterbury... because they can afford ANYONE they like.)

                    Sbw

I watched last nights game , only to see what SBW is going to bring to the table, and while, the flow of the game didn't seem to go his way, I must say I wasen't too impressed with what I saw from him, for the money he is going to cost us. I sort of thought he would go looking for more work, he basically had no impact on the outcome of the game whatsoever.

I suppose some nerves might of been in play, that being his game game of any sort of footy since his infamous walkout on the Bulldogs, in Sydney. There is another game next weekend in NZ, so I will give him another chance to show us his bag of tricks, but I will be expecting a whole lot more from him, or I wouldn't be shelling out the mega bucks, that would keep a small country afloat, for his services.

I cannot cop that code but i purposely taped it & watched the SBW bits. IMO he didn't have much opportunity but despite being heavily targeted, toward the end of the game he provided a taste of what to expect next year.....he drew both opposition centre & flanker and set up his outside man with a good chance of scoring but the knucklehead dropped it from 4 metres out.
When required to defend the opposition were quick to pass the ball on because his one-on-one ability is 2nd to none.

                      Sonny days ahead hopefully

I read that thread title without my glasses and 'throw away' and 'Telegraph' do belong in the same sentence.
